1. Loki joins shield
   1. Fury calls Loki on his bullshit bc human technology is way too good for Loki to hide the fact that he’s an alien
   2. Fury is like “... are you blue” (wiki for Project TAHITI, agents of shield) and Loki goes “... no. no I am not blue. i am red. very red. the most red.”
2. Clint, Natasha, and Steve are there
   1. a mission where Natasha is paired with Loki bc he’s a rookie
   2. they get cornered and have to call for help and he’s like “... this mission would be over if i could just use all my magic powers but i can’t break cover jesus this is frustrating”
   3. their help comes in the form of Clint and Steve
   4. Steve Doesn’t Like Magic and also doesn’t like Loki’s interest in the tesseract
   5. it’s mostly the tesseract thing tbh but Loki is very defensive of it so /shrug same dif
3. Loki is helping Fury with the Avengers Initiative
   1. brings in Bruce
   2. begin a positive friendship with his weed neighbour
   3. insert possible AoS based missions here (mission with Ward??)
   4. Meets Verity as part of his job with SHIELD, he was told to investigate her powers and promptly lies to SHIELD while maintaining that friendship throughout this whole thing
   5. I just really like Verity ok
4. Nebula attempts to take earth with Mind Stone
   1. Nebula drops like so much information about thanos at every place she possibly can
   2. also Loki learns that Gamora is now working with Peter and he hates it he thought he was OVER it but no, not so much
   3. First Avengers Lineup: Steve, Tony, Natasha, Clint, Bruce
   4. Nebula doesn’t stay in NY because she has other places to be
   5. such as Wakanda, where she’s going to steal vibranium to take to Thanos so he can make the infinity gauntlet out of it
   6. both Nebula and Loki are surprised by how boss Wakanda is
   7. cue Black Panther
5. Post Nebula Attempt
   1. Loki leaves the Mind Stone in Wakanda, which lets him have Black Panther on speed dial
   2. The Wakandans know that Loki is, like, Loki
   3. Nebula is there in custody and can conveniently break out whenever I need her, Loki can visit if he needs to
   4. “I’m sorry to do this to you Nebula… but I need your arm to prove to SHIELD that you’re dead”
   5. Shuri and Nebula get to talking, by the end Nebula has a boss-ass vibranium Mind Stone augmented robot body
   6. “recruit” Scott by doing him a god favour, therefore scott owes him
   7. “recruit” Stephen by sending him off to Tamar-Kaj and legit making very positive acquaintances, this isn’t even quite a god favour but it’s close
6. SHIELD is HYDRA, things fall apart
   1. Loki has had misgivings about Fury for a while, but learning about Project Insight makes him clench up
   2. he goes to Steve and Nat and is like “we need to fire nick fury, can we give coulson his job, I hate to admit that I care about this but coulson has morals”
   3. instead Nat and Steve recruit Sam and blow up HYDRA-SHIELD
   4. Loki brings in Scott to help save the tesseract and their research
   5. this is where Erik dies
7. Loki seduces Tony, gives Tony his spaceship
8. hunting down HYDRA bases 4 fun and profit they contain useful things and also it’s what good Avengers do
   1. this is when we find the Maximoffs
   2. Loki gets the Maximoffs on board with fighting thanos instead of @ing Tony
   3. note that this prevents the ENTIRE plot of Ultron which is YAY bc that plot is boring and I don’t like Vision
   4. Loki gives Wanda to Stephen because they use similar types of magic
9. ????
   1. somewhere in here the avengers split into, like, organized units, this whole thing is much more coordinated than the original
   2. maybe the return of SHIELD? idk, they’re useful even if Loki ditched them
10. Convergence
    1. The one time Loki ACTUALLY has a LEGIT prophetic vision from the Norns and they tell him to call up his ex
    2. Loki calls Peter to come and help and hates himself
    3. Thor shows up, possibly with the Asgardians depending on how that plays out off screen
    4. Stephen and the other wizards show up
    5. Nebula shows up with the badass new vibranium mind stone body that her girlfriend Shuri made
    6. this is the badass crossover team up we all deserved
11. Something something plot plot plot
12. Loki makes contact with Jotunheim as an emissary for Wakanda
    1. This works because Asgard never told Jotunheim wtf the happens so Loki gets to spin his own story
    2. YOU SEE, Thor got banished, Odin went off the deep end trying to finish the war using the bifrost, Thor learned his lesson very quickly and Loki rescues him from his banishment to beat Odin. Odin is now in the Odinsleep and Thor is ruling Asgard as regent while Odin is napping.
13. Jotunheim gets on board with Loki's plans because trade with Wakanda and their vibranium is an awesome deal
    1. also he promises to find the Casket of Ancient Winters
    2. Also also he lets them have the Mind Stone as collateral so that there's only _two_ Infinity Stones on Earth
14. Something Something Plot plot plot
15. Somewhere in here we learn about Hela
    1. Maybe Loki and Mephisto do a drug trip about it?
    2. This is what my wife suggests and I love her
    3. Loki is, understandably, livid
    4. Honestly I feel like possibly this should go on the other side of points 16/17 but I can't be arsed to sort it out rn
16. Jane and co finally manage to finish their bifrost, allowing them to make contact with Asgard to talk
    1. Turns out Thor did get crowned in the meantime
    2. which is why Loki has been able to act with impunity all this time
    3. Odin defs would have intervened
    4. Loki gives Asgard the Tesseract so that they can rebuild the bifrost proper
    5. Now the only infinity stone on Earth is Time
    6. Also, Thor is now also livid about Hela
17. plot???
    1. apropos of nothing, it sure is nice to have Skye in his back pocket as a hacker that isn't loyal to Tony
18. Loki has been listening to intergalactic radio this whole time and knows about the Guardians
    1. He attempts to coax Quill back to Earth by sending him a message and a playlist of pop hits from '88 to the present
    2. He borrows Daisy/Stephen/Sam/Tony for this
    3. Although he actually got a pretty decent "man out of time" education resentfully along with Steve once it becomes clear that it's been a while since he was last on Earth
    4. Anyway it works, but is v v awkward, because Quill is with Gamora now so uh... yeah
    5. It is clarified that Thanos' whole motivation is the "in love with death" idea because I just can't handle writing the MCU canon disaster motivation
    6. and by "death" I mean "Hela" and he's trying to break her free
19. something plot
20. All the pieces fall into place
    1. Thor shows up with an army
    2. Quill shows up with a shitload of Ravagers
    3. They've got a company of Jotnar, although most of them are back home to protect the mind stone
    4. Wakanda has kitted out most of the Avengers with vibranium
    5. With a bunch of aliens hanging around over the planet a bunch of world gov'ts are forced to participate
    6. There's a great big round table meeting of all the leaders
    7. Loki gets kicked out because he isn't actually a world leader and kept just sitting there basking in the chaos of their arguing
    8. ... Thor drags him back in to act as a mediator and after a conversation with Verity does actually mediate instead of basking
21. Thanos manages to free Hela
22. plot plot plot
23. big battle on/around earth
24. They beat Thanos!!
    1. Loki uses his Jotun powers to stab Thanos with a bunch of ice
    2. Thor smashes the spike further into Thanos
    3. Loki turns the ice back to water
    4. Thor electrocutes Thanos from the inside using the water
    5. THAT FUCKER BE DEAD
25. and then there is a denouement in which we tie up a bunch of loose ends
