Jungkook frowned as he let Seokjin usher him into the apartment. The older had been acting weird ever since he'd called Jungkook earlier in the morning to invite him to his apartment (when the fuck did Seokjin start inviting Jungkook to his apartment? Jungkook had made the apartment his home a long time ago considering the amount of time he spent there).
"So, what did you want to talk to me about, hyung?" asked Jungkook after Seokjin had forced him to sit down on the couch while he just stood there. "I thought you'd be at work today."
Seokjin shook his head, looking slightly nervous, "Oh no! I took a day off today. And just give me a few minutes! Yoongi will be here soon! Both of us want to talk to you about something!"
Jungkook hummed, trying his best to not show the amount of anxiety that had started growing in him as Seokjin gasped, "You must've come straight from school! I'll get you some snacks!"
Jungkook let his ears droop slightly as he curled into the couch, oh yeah he was a hybrid, a bunny one too at that. Jungkook let out a soft sigh. Nothing good could come out of Yoongi and Seokjin wanting to talk to him together. It was obvious. They probably wanted him out of their lives. To be honest, Jungkook shouldn't be surprised considering how many times people had abandoned him but he'd been convinced that Yoongi and Seokjin were different. The married couple hadn't left for a whole year and were completely different from others.
For fucks sake, Yoongi was a lawyer specializing in hybrid rights and fought hard for helpless hybrids. He was the one who brought Jungkook to Seokjin when he found him lying beaten up after school. Even though Jungkook had to go back to the orphanage after Seokjin had finished patching him up, the couple stayed in contact, and here he is.
Jungkook took in a deep breath and forced himself to calm down. He just proved to himself as to why he shouldn't worry. Seokjin and Yoongi were different which meant that they weren't going to ask him to leave their lives. It was probably something else. Jungkook hummed to himself as Seokjin walked out with a plate in his hand.
"Here you go, Jungkook-ah! I made you a sandwich! It's the spicy cheese one you love. With extra carrots!"
Jungkook grinned at Seokjin as he took the plate and started eating while chatting about his day at school. He'd barely finished eating when the front door opened and Yoongi walked in, dressed in his usual suit and tie attire with a briefcase in his hand.
"Sorry, I'm late! I was about to leave and Namjoon stopped me to talk about the leopard hybrid. I swear that one keeps making things worse for him. Like I understand that he's the victim but he really needs to shut the fuck up and let me do my job. He nearly tore off a guard's head because the guard refused to let him call me for the 10th time today."
Yoongi pressed a kiss against Seokjin's lips before moving to loosen his tie as he pressed a kiss to Jungkook's forehead, "Hey, Koo! How are you?"
Jungkook was a grown teen! He wouldn't blush or melt because of a stupid forehead kiss from one of the favorite people in the world- nope, seems like that wasn't happening.
Jungkook's cheeks turned red as he resisted the urge to melt away into the couch from how soft Yoongi's tone was and shrugged, "It was good, hyung. I'm guessing your day was a little more hectic than it is every day."
Yoongi chuckled as he moved to put his briefcase on the table and opened it, rummaging through it to find something, "Well, you're not wrong about that. When is my day not hectic."
Seokjin moved to Yoongi's side, whispering something in his ear as Yoongi nodded, "Yeah, yeah. I wouldn't forget something like this, love."
Jungkook raised an eyebrow as the couple moved to sit beside him on the couch, Yoongi holding a folder in his hands, "So, what did the two of you want to talk to me about?"
"Well, so you see, I think you know about how much I've been wanting to have a baby." started Seokjin.
Okay, Jungkook might know where this was leading.
"And you know that being a gay couple made it even harder for us to adopt." Jungkook nodded as Seokjin continued. "Um, we finally got the approval to adopt. So, me and Yoongi-"
"You guys are having a baby!" Jungkook exclaimed, a large grin on his face. "That's awesome hyung! I'm so happy for the two of you! I know how long you've been waiting for this!"
Seokjin opened his mouth to speak but found himself a lap full of Jungkook, the 16-year-old's arms wrapped tightly around him as he went off about how happy he was for them.
And even after letting go of Seokjin, Jungkook continued rambling, moving to hug Yoongi, "-and, do you even know how scared I was hyung when you told me that you and Yoongi hyung wanted to talk to me? I was half sure that you were going to leave me too! But then I realized that it was sort of impossible because well, you guys are you. I know you wouldn't be like the others-"
"Jungkook-ah." Yoongi interrupted Jungkook once he let go of him. "We will never leave you. Okay?"
Jungkook flushed at the sincerity in Yoongi's tone and nodded, "I know, hyung! It's just my stupid brain! It's hard to stop it at times!"
Seokjin sighed as he cupped Jungkook's cheeks between his hands, "From now on you come to me or Yoongi anytime your not stupid brain keeps thinking things like this. Okay?"
Jungkook chuckled, "I do come too you for that already, hyung! And I will. Let's just hope I don't disturb you much while you're taking care of your baby."
Seokjin paused as his hands fell from Jungkook's cheeks, "About that. We still need to tell you something."
Jungkook hummed and motioned for Seokjin to go ahead. What more was left to say?
"So, um, you see. Our baby isn't really a baby baby. I mean he's still our baby, no matter how old but like not an infant."
"Oh! That's even great! Now I don't have to worry about scaring a little child. How old is he?"
Seokjin paused for a second before smiling, "Oh, he's sixteen-"
"He's my age? That's so cool, hyung!"
"Yeah, I know right. Very cool." Seokjin let out a nervous chuckle. "Well, we're ready to adopt him but we're not sure if he'll let us adopt him-"
"Then he's stupid. Why would he not let a couple as awesome and cool as the two of you adopt him? You'd be like the best parents ever!"
"Oh." Seokjin let out a breath. "I-"
"This is enough!" Yoongi groaned as he slammed the folder onto the coffee table. "It's you, Jungkook-ah. You're the one we're adopting! I've had just about enough of Jin's round talk."
Jungkook froze. There was absolutely no way in hell that he heard Yoongi right. Seokjin and Yoongi wanted to adopt him? Nope. That wasn't true. Oh! This was a dream!
Jungkook chuckled as he shook his head, "Yeah, yeah. I'm surprised with my brain. You know, I've never had such a vivid dream in my life. I mean, yeah, I've dreamed about getting adopted by you guys but like wow. I'm impressed with my brain-"
"Jungkook-ah." called out Seokjin, his voice so gentle. "This isn't a dream, bub. It's all real. We really want to adopt you."
"I still think I'm dreaming."
Yoongi sighed as he picked up the previously slammed folder and passed it to Jungkook, "I don't think you've studied enough law to dream up legal adoptions papers."
Jungkook sucked in a sharp breath as he opened the folder, his head swimming from the legal words and phrases inked onto the paper. The only words Jungkook registered as he realized that this was indeed reality and not a dream were;
By signing here I, Jeon Jungkook, legally agree for Kim Seokjin and Min Yoongi to adopt me and take the position of being my legal guardians.
And that was when Jungkook broke.
To say that Seokjin and Yoongi were shocked beyond bounds when Jungkook suddenly dropped to the ground and started crying his eyes out was putting it lightly. The couple wasted no time sitting down beside the bunny hybrid and wrapped their arms around him. He was probably overwhelmed by the sudden surprise.
And as Jungkook sat there, wrapped up in Yoongi and Seokjin's arms, a weight that had been weighing down on him since years lifted and he felt like things would be better.
Things would be the best, after all he had Seokjin and Yoongi by his side.
