When Foggy found out Matt was Daredevil, him being pissed off was an understatement. He didn't like the idea of his best friend running around the city beating up bad guys at night, It doesn't help that Matt keeps saying he has a nurse just in case he gets badly hurt. But after a long conversation, a few promises telling Matt to actually call him when he needs help and a hug their friendship was back on track.
It was a normal afternoon in the office, business was slow so Karen took this chance to take a lunch break. Matt was in his own office trying to get paperwork sorted out.
"Hey Foggy," Matt called out, "Can you pass me the stapler?"
Foggy grabbed a spare stapler from his desk and started walking towards Matt's, but he had an idea. Foggy has seen the stuff Daredevil can do and wanted to try something out. He walked to the room's door, his lips twisted into a smug smile. Matt looked up tilting his head, obviously confused about why his friend stopped at the doorway.
Before he had time to question it Foggy yelled out "catch." Throwing the stapler at Matt. Matt's hand quickly caught it from the air.
"Why, Foggy?" Matt asked in a sigh clearly already done with whatever Foggy was trying to do.
Foggy shrugged, "I just wanted to see if you would catch it or not."
Matt raised an eyebrow, as Foggy walked away laughing
This game want on for a while. Foggy would continue to throw stuff at Matt and he would just catch it and look unimpressed but to be fair Foggy swears Matt's resting face was just always looking unimpressed. The items where never the same, it went from small items like paper balls, staplers, empty mugs and sometimes Matt's own cane.
Matt leaned on Karen's desk as she sat at it and Foggy was pacing in front of them, throwing his baseball up in the air and catching it. They were stuck on a lawyer's case, they were stump with ideas of what to do. Foggy was so use to throwing stuff at Matt he didn't think when he said "catch" and throw the baseball at Matt. When Foggy released the ball it hit him that Karen doesn't know that Matt is Daredevil she would just see it as Foggy throwing a ball at his blind friend.
Of course Matt didn't try to catch it. It hit him in the cheek, knocking his glasses off a bit. Karen quickly jumped up from her chair, almost knocking it over.
"What the heck is wrong with you, Foggy?" Karen yelled.
"I thought he would catch it?" Foggy questioned weakly.
Karen rolled her eyes turning back to Matt.
"Do you need some ice?" She asked him.
"That would be lovely. Thank you." Matt replied.
As she walked away Matt fixed his glasses and looked at Foggy.
"You okay?" Foggy questioned.
"Yes. I'm fine. I've taken a lot worse then a baseball to the face." Matt commented rubbing his cheek. He can feel the heat radiating from where the impact was.
"Karen will probably hate me now. I'm going to be known as the guy that throw a ball at his blind friend and hurt him." Foggy said dramatically.
Matt couldn't help but laugh. "She will get over it. It's more funny then anything. I can just imagine the look on your face." Matt contained to laugh.
Foggy soon joined. He wiped the tears from his eyes.
"I think we should take a break from playing catch for a bit." Foggy said as he walked over to Matt and placed a hand on to his shoulder.
"Agreed."
