Summary
When Vega fell, he could hear her, the sick wet rasp of blood filling her lungs. It was so loud, the slow bubbling of blood in her throat as she breathed her final breaths. It was a sound that filled Cho’s head every night as he lay in bed, as constant as the ticking clock in his room. When Wiley falls, he doesn’t make a sound, but rounding the corner of the house Cho still feels the same gut-punch of fear he had felt when he saw Vega’s body laying in that restaurant.
