Work Text:
Hermione looked up, the bells overhead chiming that someone had come into the book store she'd bought after the war.
She saw the ginger hair and got up to give him a hug. Walking up behind the man who stood a head taller than her, she buried her head in his back, wrapping his arms around his waist. "It's good to see you, Charlie, it's been awhile."
His chest rumbled. "It's good to see you, too, but I think you've mistaken me for my brother."
She knew that voice, "Bill?"
He turned around, wrapping his arms around the woman who was still hugging him. "That'd be right, love, but I'm happy I found you."
"How are you?" she asked, stepping back. "How's Fleur?"
He smiled a sad smile. "That's actually what I'm here about. Fleur and I have separated, and I want to bring Victoire back to family dinners."
"I'm sorry to hear that. But you and Vicky are always welcome, you know that."
"I can't face them alone, love. I was wondering if you'd come with me?"
She looked at him, silently asking for the real reason.
He sighed. "How do you do that?" He shifted his eyes from hers to the ground. "I went last week, and when mum heard I was single, she asked me to bring you."
"As a date?" she knew Molly too well for that.
"Yes, love. As a date."
"I'll be there."
