Summary
Five years after high school, Lexi Howard is a college graduate who landed a job in publishing in San Francisco. She is also the only person Rue Bennett has left. That is, until she runs into Fezco and Ashtray at the hospital after Rue’s overdose, and they insist on helping Rue and insist that Lexi stay with them for a little while. During her stay with the boys, Lexi has revelations about her past relationship, her new relationships, her place in the world, and she discovers just how far she’ll go to protect the ones she loves.
This story is pretty divergent from the actual series, though there are Easter eggs scattered about so keep an eye out!
