A/N: Do tell me if the images are too large for mobile and I'll adjust
~A cold night in Winterfell~
Sansa: [steps back] Stop talking nonsense. I'll walk you to your chambers, Your Grace.
Daenerys: [smiles] To express my gratitude, I invite you to have some wine in my room.
Sansa: No need.
Daenerys: Oh but I insist.
Sansa: [sighs] Has anyone ever told you you're quite brazen?
Daenerys: [purses her lips] Hmmm...none that I can think of. Oh well. But that's what I like about you. You're not at all afraid to express your thoughts about me which honestly makes me feel more relaxed around you. I don't have to second guess too much.
Sansa: [raises a brow] Relaxed? Are you sure? I thought you said I was cold?
Daenerys: [smiles] Indeed. But it doesn't bother me. Such coldness, I actually find it quite...attractive. I see you stand there, cold and untouchable. And yet, it only makes me want to approach and touch even more, see if I can try to melt some of the ice. Or maybe find myself freezing in the end.
Sansa: [silence]
Daenerys: Ah. I've managed to make "The" Lady Sansa Stark speechless. And...are you blushing?
Sansa: ...It's just the cold winds, Your Grace.
Daenerys: Hm, is that so?
Sansa: Yes.
Daenerys: Are you really not going to accept my offer?
Sansa: No.
Daenerys: A shame. Well, I guess this is good night then, my Lady.
Sansa: And my cloak?
Daenerys: [pouts]
Sansa: [raises a brow] You...
Daenerys: Or I can repay you?
Sansa: [curious] Pay me? With what?
Daenerys: Well...you can decide. As long as it's something I can give, of course.
Sansa: [rolls her eyes]
With Daenerys busy changing, she didn't have to worry about Daenerys catching her expression. After a while, Daenerys came from behind the screen in her nightdress.
Sansa: I just asked you to tell me of your travels. Is it too much to ask from you, Your Grace?
Daenerys: Not at all. I just...do you really wish to hear of my travels?
Sansa: Why not? It's better to hear it direct from the source.
Daenerys: [frowns] I just thought...since you hated me, why would you be curious about such things about me?
Sansa's hand pauses from swirling her cup of wine. She raises her head to meet Daenery's gaze.
Sansa: [sighs] Let me make things clear. I do not hate you, Daenerys.
Daenerys: That's hard to be-
Sansa: Let me finish.
Daenerys: [closes her mouth]
Sansa: I repeat, I do not hate you. I don't know you enough for me to have deep-rooted feelings such as "hate" towards you. Such feeling is reserved for someone like Cersei.
Daenerys: If not "hate", then what do you think of me?
Sansa: At most, it's just a bad impression.
Daenerys: A bad impression???
Sansa: Yes.
Daenerys stood silently, trying to digest what she just heard.
Meanwhile, Sansa took sips of her wine while also sneaking glances at Daenerys. She remembered that Jon had told her to try. Try to get to know her and not let her prejudice overtake her. Since she doesn't trust others, then trust in herself, trust in her own judgment. She saw a chance tonight and took it. Although, some bits of their earlier conversation took her off-guard. Was this person always so...flirty?
Daenerys: Apologies. I'm being a bad host, letting my mind wander for so long while you're here.
Sansa: It's fine.
Daenerys: So...stories it is then.
Sansa: Mmm.
Daenerys looks at herself then at Sansa who was sitting upright and stiff in her chair.
Daenerys: Since it seems we'll be chatting for some time, would you not like to change into something more comfortable? And don't be so stiff and let yourself relax. My back hurts just from looking at you.
Sansa: I-
Daenerys: It's just the two of us in here anyway so etiquette be damned.
Sansa: [surprised]
Before she could say anything, Daenerys had shoved one of her nightdresses into her hands and pushed her to change behind the screen. Sansa admitted that she did want to get comfortable herself after such a long day so she didn't resist.
After changing, the two sat side by side while drinking wine and eating what snacks that were prepared in advance and left in Daenerys's room.
As promised, Daenerys told her about her travels. She tried to recall as many details as she could and didn't bother omitting any explcit details, earning her an almost permanent blush from the other woman.
At the end of the night, Daenerys discovered she's about to develop a bad habit of wanting to make the Lady of Winterfell blush at every turn, slowly melting the ice away. On the other hand, Sansa no longer had such a bad impression of the Dragon Queen...it's just that, now she fears the following days after this night to be troublesome, all due to said queen.
