    When he had first met Tommy, Wilbur had only recently woken up.

    He hadn’t woken up from a nap, or from a proper 8 hour rest- he had woken up from his death.

    Wilbur had opened his eyes, and surrounded by darkness, he willed himself to phase through the ground, purely pushed by instinct. He didn’t dare look back at the body of his likeness lying beneath the soil, leaving it to rest in peace.

    OR

    Wilbur wakes up as a Phantom hybrid, gets kidnapped, adopts a kid, then wanders around until he finds a home.. kinda
