The final bell of the day rang across the classroom.
Class 1-A had just finished their Modern Hero Art History class with Midnight, who was about to exit the room along with the other kids (they were heading to the Heights Alliance) until she noticed the only student left in the room looking particularly grouchy.
"Jirou...?" she walked over to her, "What's the matter? You don't look too happy right now."
"...it's nothing," is all Jirou said back. She wanted to say something along the lines of "Mind your own damn business, I want to be alone," but directly speaking like that to a teacher was undoubtedly rude.
Midnight frowns and shakes her head. "Jirou, it doesn't seem like nothing's going on. If you want to talk to me about it, I'm all ears. Plus, nobody else is in the room, so this is 100% confidential."
Jirou takes a deep breath and sighs. "It's Mineta. He's been getting under my skin for god knows how long now and I've been keeping quiet about it for way too long. Today he kept trying to ogle Momo while she was in her hero costume and he even attempted to inappropriately touch her. When I told him to back off he called me a 'stupid SJW baby trying to shut down men's rights.'" She grimaced at the mere thought of the little purple shithead.
Midnight looked horrified at what Jirou had told her, placing a hand over her mouth in shock. "Oh no...that sounds awful. Definitely doesn't sound like heroic behavior in the slightest."
A brief pause before Midnight followed up, "You said he's been bothering you for a while now...has he done anything else? I can't let this kind of behavior go unnoticed."
"You sure? If I tell you the rest I'd be here for a while."
"He's that bad...? Go ahead, tell me what he's done. I have plenty of time."
Jirou exhaled. "He tried to peep on the girls changing in the locker rooms and later attempted to spy on us in the hot springs at the training camp. He tried to search through Hagakure's underwear drawer when we first moved in. He keeps trying to feel up the other girls, particularly Momo, and he keeps making these insanely gross comments about our bodies and makes us insanely uncomfortable..."
She grits her teeth and clenches her fists as she talks, getting angrier and angrier by the second, "He won't stop fucking blabbering on about how hot women are, he only seems to care about their fucking boobs and nothing else! They're not sex objects, they're fucking people, for fuck's sake! And ever since I started dating Momo and Uraraka started dating Asui, he's been insanely lesbophobic, going off about how hot it would be to watch us make out and have sex but also showing disgust about girls being in an actual romantic relationship! And even then, he still expects us to be attracted to him, even though Asui, Momo and I have explicitly said we're not interested in men!
And don't think the boys are safe either! He's been so fucking rude towards Kirishima for liking guys and Aoyama for his feminine interests, and he's called both of them the f-slur multiple times! Homophobia aside, he keeps going off about how toxic masculinity isn't real and how guys shouldn't go around wearing skirts and makeup and how girls only exist to show off their boobs and how there's only two genders and how the SJWs are apparently going to take over the world and ALL THAT FUCKING BULLSHIT!
Don't even get me started on his ableist bullshit! Midoriya, Iida, Todoroki, Asui and Kouda keep getting called the r-slur and he uses 'autistic' as an insult to boot! He even said that the only good thing about Asui is her boobs and she's otherwise, in his words, nothing but an 'autistic r-tard!' I'm so fucking sick of him, why can't he just be fucking expelled, for fuck's sake?!"
Jirou huffs and puffs after she's finished ranting, with Midnight taken aback by everything she's said. "Oh, and one more thing...Sero once told me...that Mineta said he wanted to strip you during the final exams...and sorry for the f-bombs. He just pisses me off so much....!"
Midnight was left in a state of shock. How could anyone stoop to such levels of depravity and bigotry, let alone someone who wanted to be a hero? "Jirou, I'm...I'm so sorry you had to deal with someone like that for so long...everything you've described is just disgusting and unheroic in every way, and something has to be done about him now that you've told me what he's done. Have you told anyone about him before this?"
"I've talked about him with Iida and Momo, and Aizawa-sensei is aware of Mineta's behavior...but when they went to the principal about it recently they ended up getting shut down...according to him, UA has a flawless track record of producing perfect heroes, and if word came out about Mineta's behavior, it'd just cause a big scandal and ruin the school's reputation..." Angry tears begin to fill her eyes as she speaks, "And according to Momo and Asui...the scandal would inevitably result in the girls getting blamed...blamed for their costumes, for the way they act around him...! It's all...it's all a load of bullshit!" she sobs with anger. "I hate Mineta...I hate him so much....! He doesn't deserve to be in this school at all! He doesn't deserve to be a hero....!"
As tears ran down Jirou's face, Midnight gave the girl a gentle pat on the back. "Oh, Jirou..." she sighed solemnly, "Taking into account everything you just said...I want to have a talk with the rest of the faculty about this. I'll do my best to convince everyone, including the principal, not to make a big deal about it to avoid causing scandal. If Mineta does get expelled, we will ensure it does not make the news or receive media attention. A bigoted degenerate like him cannot be allowed into this school."
"Thank you...thank you so much, Midnight-sensei....! O-Oh, and uh, I think I might have unintentionally outed myself to you about being a lesbian, along with Asui, Momo, and Uraraka...Uraraka's bi, but still. Don't tell anyone, okay?"
Midnight nodded. "I won't. As I said earlier, this is confidential and just between us. The staff here would never out a student for their identity, whether it be their gender identity, orientation, and so forth...though I would also like to bring Aizawa and Present Mic into this discussion, and if they're up for it, I'd like the other girls in the class to share their thoughts as well. You'll be around as well so I don't leave you out. Is that okay with you?"
"Yes please," Jirou replied. "Oh, and...thank you for allowing me to rant to you, Midnight-sensei...and thank you for planning to do something about this."
Midnight smiled softly and ruffled Jirou's hair. "You're welcome. If you ever need to talk to me, I'm happy to listen."
