   Summary

   Nie Mingjue shivered, naked and bound, in the center of his room on the floor next to his freshly red-dressed bed. Either his bonds were enchanted, or his spiritual power had somehow been sealed, but he couldn’t get out. He couldn’t escape. He couldn’t move.
   Laughter rang out in the hall outside of the room, boisterous and jibing. Nie Mingjue swallowed as the first came through the door, and then more followed: the exact number was fuzzy, as were their faces, but there were at least fifteen, and with them they brought Nie Mingjue’s most precious treasure: his didi.
