Sykkuno got a call about a stray cat that was stuck in a pipe, one of the guys manage to get it out but the cat was very feisty and a few fingers were almost chopped off.
Sykkuno was well known to be a very patient person and a miracle vet. Who wouldn't love him?
The loud meowing and hissing didn't stop even after he was delivered to his doorstep. He'd tend to him at the clinic but he was already checked and it was his off day so he placed him on the ground, waving away Sapnap who is bold and curious and Dream who is hiding behind the couch.
Sykkuno knows that the cat needed time to adjust so he placed the others in a room, left the carrier open, left some food and water and left the room to himself.
"Here Sy, there are a few names I picked out from the comments."
Sykkuno glances at the cameras before looking at the post they posted online.
"Mm... leo and tiger seems like a good name... toast? It's a unique name!"
"Toast is good."
Toast, in the room had calmed now that there weren't anybody here. But he still stayed in the carrier. He had tried to bite off the bandage around his leg but wasn't able to bite through it.
He gave up after a while before slowly walking out of the carrier. He was very hungry so the food was very tempting.
Sykkuno make sure to feed the others as well before returning to the room he left Toast in.
"Corpse?" Sykkuno asks.
Corpse underscore husband, his pet influencer roommate enters the room as well. Seeing 2 strangers, Toast quickly hid behind Dream's scratching post.
"Hello Toast?" Sykkuno asks, bending down just a few feet away from him.
Corpse hands him a bag of treats and Sykkuno takes a few and places it on his palm.
"Are you still hungry?" He asks.
When Toast didn't move other than his tail swishing around, Sykkuno decided to empty his hand and places it on the ground. He could easily do this all day, it was procedural but he never mind it at all.
The same goes for Corpse, he sat down with a toy ball in his hand. He rolls the ball around, it makes a jingling sound that catches his attention.
But Sykkuno was nearer so Toast started sniffing. His hands were clean and all he touched was cat food so Toast experimentally approached. Sykkuno places a few kibbles of cat food and Toast nibbles them up.
Sykkuno gently scratches the underneath of his chin and Toast allows him to but moved after a while to sniff the rest of him.
Corpse shakes the ball, Toast perks and looks at him before jumping away when Corpse bounces the ball towards him. Toast easily catches it mid-air and sniffs it experimentally.
"Well that was easier than expected... Toast! Here Toast!"
Toast doesn't know that's his name yet so he ignored Corpse. When Sykkuno called his name however, Toast finally looked at him and Sykkuno rewards him with a treat.
"Good boy Toast!"
Toast goes back to playing but Corpse started calling him. Toast looks at him and Corpse gave him the treat. Soon his attention was away from the toy but at the treats that Corpse had hidden away in his hand.
Toast was definitely a smart cat. But Corpse cannot relent like that no matter how cute he looks while pawing at his hands. Sykkuno had to capture it on film.
Corpse raises his hands to pet him but Toast quickly whipped around and attempted to bite him but he manages to remove his hand just in time.
Sykkuno would shed a lot of tears for the poor kitty but he knew that they needed a little longer to gain his trust...
"It's alright Toast, we'll take care of you and make sure you never get hurt again."
