   Summary

   His whole childhood had been leading him to think that sex with a sacred, wonderful thing, only to be shared with someone with whom you were bonded in love and trust. That it was a holy covenant. And then suddenly, as soon as he realised that the feelings he was feeling for other boys weren’t just admiration and friendship, that he wanted to kiss them, to be close to them, sex became frightening. Wrong. Sinful.

    

    

   When he left that world, he realised that to others, sex was cheap. It didn’t have to mean anything, and many people actively preferred it not to. So he had a choice, he thought. Sex, without love. Or no sex at all.
   There was no way that anyone was going to love him.
