Ace, Sabo, and Luffy all go to Grand Line high school. Ace and Sabo are juniors this year while Luffy is a freshman.
While Ace and Sabo have their own respective tasks with clubs and so on, the doting and overprotective brothers will zoom to Luffy if he's ever nearby at the drop of a hat.
Sabo is part of the news club, with Dragon being the teacher who oversees it. Koala and other's are part of this club. They are Sabo's friends.
For Ace, he is is part of a public service club where an old man named Edward helps out. Its a huge club, with the old man being everyone's father figure. Most of Ace's friends are part of this club.
Luffy himself is in no club, but partakes in any sport he is interested in. He's tried every sport but baseball, he can't hit the bat very well. Luffy is friends with mostly everyone, but hes closest with a select few. They seem to have some mysterious bond together.
Ace, Sabo, and Luffy all live together with Garp, who is out a lot of the time. Sabo was taken in by Garp after he was taken away from his parents, Grarp was given custody of Ace sense the boys birth, and Luffy was just thrown to Garp. (Ace and Sabo have a grudge against Dragon for abandoning Luffy like that)
Garp is quite grumpy and has high expectations for the three brothers, Sabo easily meets them, Ace manages, but Luffy... let's just say he's not the brightest.
