Chapter Text

Rouxls groggily wakes up, sitting up in his chair, he notices that he slept at his desk again. ( so much for good posture I guess ) he thought. Gathering up all the puzzles he plans on creating he brings them all over to a different corner of his room, because each corner is important for different things of course. He opens a weird compartment in his wall and grabs all the stuff he needs to make his puzzles. Soon enough, his back is curved like a shrimp as he intently builds his shitty puzzles. Stretching, he makes note to get another desk for this corner of his room, he then gathers the now done puzzle ( which looks like the puzzles he made in card castle but hand held ) and heads outside to hopefully ' bamboozle ' the Lightners after failing oh so many times. Making his way down the long stairs he catches sight of Lancer, and apparently Lancers sees him too as he starts to run towards Rouxls, hugging his lanky legs and setting him off balance. " Hey lesser dad!! " Catching balance again he greets Lancer as well, " why hello Lancer, its nice to see you. " Rouxls pats Lancer on the head while also trying to balance the puzzle in his other hand. " Whatcha got there? Is that another puzzle? " Lancer asked, " Yes, its indeed another puzzle. I needed to make one to truly fool the Lightners after I failed so many times.. "
" Aren't the Lightners on our side though? "
" ....You make a good point Lancer, I have no idea why I did this- but its not like I'm letting it go to waste. "
" Ok,, well, ima go get Dark Candy! "
" Make sure to keep safe Lancer. "
" I will!! " and with that, Lancer ran off into the depths of Castle Town. Smiling fondly Rouxls made his way to where he suspected the Lightners to be.

Soon enough he found them and Ralsei all chatting away, he didn't want to disturb them but he had to make use of his puzzle somehow. He walked up to them, catching the attention of Ralsei. " Oh! Hello Rouxls " The rest of the ' fun gang ' turned to look at him, Kris with their usual still idle position and Susie crossing her arms, looking expectantly at him. Internally hoping this conversation isn't awkward, he starts to speak. " I, er- " his words catch in his mouth as he tries to think of what to say. " Are you ok? " Ralsei asks ( damn him and his perceptive concern. What am I saying??? Just think of something to say! ) " What did you walk up to us for? " Susie asks, might've just been him but he swore he heard a tinge of annoyance. masked by neutrality. " I erm, made-eth a puzzle and uh- haveabsolutelynoideawhattodowithitsoimhopingyoucouldmaybesolveitorsomething- " Rouxls practically vomits out the last parts of his sentence as he tenses and looks anywhere but the Lightners. ".. Could.. Could you repeat that last part, more clearly? " Ralsei asks with a sympathetic smile, clearly noticing his nervousness. Silence follows as he tries to form the sentence into something less, nervous. His accent will be added though. " I- made-eth a puzzle and was wonderingeth if thou coulde.... solve it..? " His voice gradually depleted into something close to a whisper but not quite. Susie opened her mouth, possibly to make some sort of snarky retort to Rouxls' silly request before Ralsei buts in saying, " Of course! What puzzle would you like us to solve? " Susie grumbles something incomprehensible as Rouxls takes out the tiny hand held puzzle. Ralsei and Kris inspect it before Kris wordlessly takes it and solves it in one simple move. " Good job Kris! Yo- " before Ralsei could finish the rest of his sentence Susie interrupts. " There's no need to congratulate Kris, Ralsei. Rouxls' puzzles suck. So easy a baby could solve it. " The insult made Rouxls' hair fluff up and glow slightly, and surprised Ralsei into silence. Kris didn't look at anyone, just kept staring at the puzzle in their hand. Ralsei soon caught some words and tried to say, " Susie. That isn't very nice, you know he's trying his best, seriou- "
" I dont care if he's trying his best. His puzzles are shitty, that's that. "
" Susie ple- "
" No. "
" Susie listen! "
" .... "
" You need to understand that people can explore interests and if said thing they make is ' bad ' who cares! They can do what they want, as long as it isn't harming anyone... "
Susie kept silent as Ralsei continued lecturing her, he stopped once he ran out of breathe. " ... Done with your lecture yet? " Susie asks " If you've learned from it then yes I'm done. " Ralsei answers.
" I guess I learned something "
smiling, Ralsei asks, " And what would that be? "
" To interrupt you more so you don't go on tangents. "
Ralsei's smile fades immediately, " Please tell me you're joking.. "

Before he could hear the rest of the conversation, Rouxls speed walked away, trying not to listen to Ralsei and Susie bantering. Soon he finds himself in the middle of Castle Town, deciding he should probably add to the bug corner of his room, and to keep his mind off of things, he'll hunt for bugs, ladybugs in specific,, he needs more of those. Heading to the forest he usually goes to to hunt for bugs he hears footsteps behind him. Ignoring them he continues to head for the forest, soon Ralsei's voice calls out " Rouxls! Wait up!! " Stopping fully, he turns around to see the short goat Darkner running towards him. Soon stopping to catch his breathe, then apologizing " I'm so sorry for what Susie said! It was completely uncalled for, and obviously very rude. I'll try to make sure it never happens again! " Rouxls doesn't know what to say, besides maybe a vague ' ok ' or ' thank you ' , but it didn't seem right.. " It isnt like it was thousts faulteth for Susies actionsth " he said after some time. " I'm aware, but Susie would never apologize, so I might as well do it for her. " Ralsei responded. " Fair enough I suppose " Rouxls said before remembering he would have to get a jar to catch bugs,, eh, he can cross that bridge when he gets there. " Also. if your going bug catching, you'll need.. whatever you use to do so.. " Ralsei noted. Thinking of what to do, Rouxls decides he'll just lay on the ground and sleep. " I'll just lay on thee ground and sleep-eth there. " Ralsei looked at him blankly, as if looking for something in his face. " I wouldn't suggest that, but alright. " Ralsei smiled and then walked off, probably to the Lightners. Rouxls went the other way, continuing what he said of sleeping on the forest floor, he's done that sometimes, Ralsei always bringing it up but brushing it off too. He wondered if he should worry that this was the only time Ralsei said to not sleep on the forest floor, it might've been because he actually said it, but still. While he walked, he wondered whether or not he should actually listen to Ralsei's warning, it always seemed like he knew more than he let on.

Sitting on the floor of the forest, he let tiredness consume him, and soon enough, he was fast asleep.

Rouxls groggily wakes up, at his.. desk? ( Wait, I thought I fell asleep on the forest floor..? maybe someone found me and carried me back??? )

He went up to the his wall mirror but noticed nothing was on his clothes, nor was anything in his hair. ( odd )

Deciding to not pay it much attention, he goes back over to his desk, noticing that the puzzles he had made yesterday was back the desk. ( Its exactly where it was yesterday too.. )

He looks over to the puzzle corner of his room ( soon to be renamed ) and saw it was clear, nothing on the floor, and the compartment wasn't open either. His brows furrowed and he frowned slightly as he stared around his room in confusion, then walking over to the corner and crouching down to open the compartment. ( Nothings missing.. What the hell is happening? Why is everything the same.. This must be some sort of coincidence, that or everything that happened yesterday was just a dream )

He internally questioned as he stared into his odd wall compartment. Standing, he heads outside,, to ask the Lightners what's happening of course. Although some part of him doubted they'd know anything. He met Lancer, same greeting but without him asking about the now non existent puzzle he had. Walking to where he last met the Lightners, his face continued to hold a slightly concerned frown and furrowed brows. Somewhat awkwardly appearing next to the Lightners and Ralsei, the small goat Darkner greets him again. " Oh! Hello Rouxls " Susie and Kris turn towards him, holding the stances they had yesterday. ( Was it even yesterday? Is today yesterday? am I loosing my mind? )

he opens his mouth to greet the ' fun gang '. " hello-eth.. ' fun gang ' " Susie looks at him expectantly again, as if waiting for him to continue, it seemed like the others waited too. " I hath a question.. " He says as he starts to fiddle with the tiny gold buttons on his gloves. " And what would that be? " Ralsei asks, something about the way he asks makes Rouxls stare at him. ( I swear this Darkner knows more than he lets on, he must know what's going on.. right? )

Rouxls' eyebrows furrow ever so slightly more as he tries to formulate a sentence, albeit badly. " Wh- uhm " He tries to say whatever he was going to, but he realizes the question was stupid as all hell. Remembering that pretty much none of them ( except maybe Ralsei ) think he's smart, he decides to just ask the question, not before repeating it in his head a couple times. Taking a deep breathe he tries to talk again. " What happened yesterday? " Heavy silence follows as they all stare at him blankly, Susie is the first to make a face full of confusion. " Did you get temporary amnesia or something? Why the hell are you asking? " Susie practically spits out her words. " I do not know-eth whate ' amnesia ' is- " Rouxls says, at least Susie didn't insult him. " Temporary amnesia is well, the loss of memory for a temporary amount of time. " Rouxls stares at her blankly, maybe she was correct? but that couldn't be right, he remembered what happened ' yesterday ', he was just confused that it seems like all of that is happening again. " What do you think happened yesterday, Rouxls? " Ralsei asks, the concern in his voice seems staged somehow. " I thought I made-eth a puzzle yesterday , met withe Lancer, then gave-eth said puzzle to thou. Then Susie insultedeth me.. and I slept on thee forest floor. " Rouxls answers, trying not to look at any of the fun gang, especially not Ralsei.. There was a long pause before Kris said " That didn't happen yesterday. " Kris' voice seemed distant, almost like they were distracted with something else, only vaguely listening. Must've just been him though as no one else seemed to notice.. " Yeah, you haven't even made a puzzle in at least a couple weeks now. " Susie adds. Rouxls glances over all their faces, Kris' face is as blank as ever, Susie looks genuinely concerned, and Ralsei has an actor like concerned look on his face. Rouxls, now thoroughly confused, decides he probably needs to go. " I... " He starts, " I need to go. " and with that he runs off, trying to find someone else who he knows and trusts to tell him what's happening. After running all over town, he checks through the window of Swatchs shop, seeing Juni in there, he sighs. He got banned from the Castle Town version of The Color Café a while ago, Swatch gave him a chance to redeem himself and not track worms all over their shop, but sadly worms always seem to find a way in his pockets. He decides to ask Juni tomorrow, or,, whatever tomorrow is. He makes his way to the forest again, this time no footsteps, no conversation with Ralsei, but definitely confusion. Soon reaching the stop where he last slept, instead of laying on that ground, he decided to gaze at.. whatever was in the sky of Castle Town. Kris and Susie both call them all stars. ( stargazing, I suppose.. What's going to happen tomorrow? Will it be the same? How long with this last? )

All kinds of questions flooded his mind, as he climbed up a tree, once at the top, he stared up to the sky. He tried to loose focus on his other thoughts that filled his mind. He layed down against the cold leaves and started to draw little images in the sky. Soon dozing off. Not before hearing a faint static-y voice. He woke up again, same spot he did yesterday, ( What even counts as yesterday? Or today? Is everyday just going to be that one day but reset? )

Before his mind could fill with more questions like that, he sat up, trying to formulate a plan on what to do this day. Blankly staring at his desk, thinking, he finally gets a plan and promptly runs off. ( finding Juniper shouldn't be that much of a challenge, right? )

After running around town for probably the third time, he catches sight of Juni talking with a random Darkner. " Juni! " He practically yells as he runs towards Juniper, clearly spooking her and the Darkner. " Hey Rules, what's going on? you seem very stressed- " Juni says pointing to his glowing hair. " Yeah, well I need-e-eth to talk to yo- thou " stumbling over his words and half forgetting there's another Darkner there. " Privately. " Juniper promptly turns to the Darkner and requests that they sit in the café while he talks with Rouxls, the Darkner complies, leaving Juni and Rouxls in silence, except for the obvious hustle and bustle around Town. " What's wrong? " Juni asks, clearly concerned. " W-well, the days.. they keep repeating and I have no idea what to do.. " Rouxls starts to pull at his hair, while Juni holds up a claw to xyr chin, thinking. " I think.. " It starts, " I think you're stuck in a time loop.. " Rouxls stops pulling at his hair to stare at Juniper. " a.. a what? " He questions, face contorting to a sort of grimace. " A time loop is from what I can tell, a day or set time constantly restarting. "
" Is there anyway I can break the loop? "
" Probably, maybe do something substantial and world changing. "
" Juni, you know I'm not capable of ' changing the world '. I'm just a dumb blue Darkner that constantly fails at making puzzles an- "
" Stop. " Juniper hisses. " You aren't uncapable of anything, sure you might fail sometimes, but that happens! And you aren't dumb, or bad at making puzzles,, taking on crafts or hobbies require practice, and its fine if you cant do it perfect the first time. "
" But- "
" No. "
" ... "
" And please listen when I say this, you can and will break out of this time loop. Ok? I believe in you. " Juniper smiles warmly as Rouxls continues to stare at them, wordless. After a while Rouxls smiles back, and repeats what Juni said " I believe in myself to break this time loop. " This makes Juni crash into him with a hug that could crush ribs. Rouxls returns the hug, if only barely.
" Thank you, Juni " Rouxls says after some time.
" No need to thank me Rouxls! I will forever believe in you, even if you commit murder. " Juni smiles wickedly before running off. Rouxls just sighs fondly at his friends antics and makes his way back to his room to hopefully clear his head and form a plan on what to do.

Chapter Text

He woke up at his desk, again. He briefly yawned, stood up, and went over to his wall mirror. Deciding to delay the weirdness of this reset day, he tried to fix up his hair the best he could, and also tried to hide his obvious sleep deprived eyes. After a while of doing that, he finally made his way to the downstairs of his house, going into the kitchen he prepares himself a simple dark sandwich. Even after eating and cleaning up any mess that dare exist in his kitchen, he just stares out his stained glass window into his limited view of Castle Town. ( Maybe doing nothing would reset this damned time loop. It's simple, and easy. ) Deciding he would do that another time, maybe once completely he ran out of ideas, he went outside with not a clue of what to do.

Walking to the center of Castle Town he started cycling through ideas in his head. ( I could commit murder.. No. That would be a last resort idea.. I could also... No, even if I did there's always the chance that it wouldn't work and the day would just reset.. causing her to forget. I'll do that if I run low on ideas.. Which I kind of already am, but whatever, Maybe I could do something stupid??  Like.. Try and talk with ' Aurum ' .. No. Bad idea. God I really need more ideas, maybe I can try and find Juni and ask zem. ) He realized soon after setting his mind to a task that he had already made it to the center of Castle Town, and now the only thing he had to do was find Juni. Catching sight of Juni, he runs toward them. " Hey Rules! " Juni said once he was within ear shot. " Hello, Juni.. " 

" I'm currently waiting for a Darkner, but in the meantime we can talk. " 

" Would you have.. any possible ideas on how to get out of the time loop I'm in.. That Doesn't include murder or tomfoolery..? "

" I think you're the only person I know who unironically says tomfoolery, and uh for your question.. " Juni took a bit to respond as if processing it ( reasonably ) but soon enough said, " Maybe do something substanti- " before Juni could finish her sentence Rouxls interrupted. " You said that last time! I need to know what substantial thing I need to do! " Juni rubbed at its temples for a bit, thinking. " Maybe... " Xyr started, causing Rouxls to stare at them intently. But just as Juni was about to speak his ideas, a Darkner conviently showed up, apparently the one Juni was meeting with. So Juni now gone and Rouxls running out of ideas, he goes with the best option to get out of a time loop, stupidity. So he casually walks over to Swatch's café, but realizes... they aren't.. there? Odd. They could be taking out the trash but it isn't nearly close enough to closing hours for that. Deciding to investigate, he walks in, catching the eye of no one, as he soon realizes the café itself is empty. ( What is happening? Is the time loop breaking?? Does that mean it'll go away by itself?  ) Questions yet again flooded his mind, as he looked around, he traveled around until he reached the back of the café, in there was a 2 warm red doors, and a basic, but cozy, warm colored kitchen. He also noticed how it was eerily dark, only lit by what was essentially a lamp like light. One door he imagined led to the back, and the other to a sort of storage. He went to the door with the tiny box window, not noticing the tall figure approaching him. When he was just about to open the ( presumably ) back door, he was hit in the head with.. a broom? Odd weapon choice, but even then that set him off in a state of panic thinking it was ' Aurum ' coming by to finish the job he started in Cyber City. That said state of panic caused his hair to fluff up and glow enough to see the figure in front of him, but he had already half fallen on the counter and hit his side, so he didn't notice who it was. 

" Oh My Circuits You; Scared Me " The voice of Queen called, wait, Queen? Rouxls looked back over, in confusion instead of stress, and there she was, Queen, holding a broom defensively. " Y- Thou scaredeth me- " Rouxls finally responded once he gathered his already very scattered mental state enough to form comprehensible words. " Anyways What Are You Doing Here? Weren't You Banned; December 30th 2021, 6;37PM ,? " 

" Y-yeseth, but I twas Concernedeth as thee Café was empty.. " 

" Yeah I've Been Looking For The Swatchlings, No Idea Where They Are Though. " 

" Hm, also why dideth thou Hit mine head withe a Broom if thou wasth lookingeth for thee Swatchlings? "

" I Dunno LMAO. " ' LMAO ' flashed on her screen visor, casting a tiny bit of her face in red. The panic in Rouxls soon wared off too, so now everything sunk back into its eerily dark self. " Also How Does Your Hair Glow Like That? " Queen questioned, even though Rouxls hair was back to normal now. " Erm... Emotionsth.. " Rouxls awkwardly responded. " Oh Cool. " ' Pog ' flashed on her screen visor, Rouxls not knowing what that word meant, stared at her visor confusingly, until hearing something from the door leading back into the main café and sharply turned his head toward the sound. ' ??? ' popped up on Queens visor in the corner of his eye, as she soon too looked at the door. " Uh, What Are You Looking At? " Queen questioned after a bit, seeing as nothing was there. " I heardeth something " Rouxls said quietly as if talking to himself, soon approaching the door. " What Did You Hear? " 

" I'mst not sureth " Rouxls looked through the 2 windows on the double door, seeing nothing he tried the handle, only to discover that it was locked. " Fuck. " He hissed under his breathe. " Don't Tell Me It's Locked, And That You Somehow Heard It. " Rouxls side glanced at Queen, only to be met with her staring intently at him. He tried to look away, but his scrambled mind told him that Queen was extra pissed at him as if he was the one who caused the door to be locked, which he probably was, but that didn't mean the actual back door that lead directly to the outside was locked, but of course worm man didn't think of that, why would he? He's dumb. His hair soon fluffed up and started to glow again as he intently tried to look anywhere but the direction of Queen. He heard Queens heels clacked against the floor, luckily to the opposite direction of he, and soon after they stopped, a door open and ( presumably ) other cleaning supplies clattering alongside the broom being thrown in there. He looked over, sort of hiding through his glowing hair, though it hurt his eyes a tiny bit. Queen soon went over to him again, and he just stared at her through his hair. " Move Over I'm Going To Try The Door " Queen said, with a tone of what he thought was something of unimpressed. Rouxls stayed silent as he walked to the other side of the room, soon catching eye of whatever was making the low light in the room. A flashlight, under what looked like a thin table cloth. He stared at it as if it was a wild animal, ready to attack. He cautiously walked over to it, ignoring Queens cursing of frustration as she tried to pry the door open. Crouching down, he tried to lift the table cloth but was attacked by non other than... a wild Tasque, what was that doing here? He fell on his ass as he tried to get the Tasque off his face. He soon succeeded but not without a few scratches on his face. He wiped his cheek, and saw a tiny bit of blood on his glove, he sighed as he held the feisty Tasque in one hand. Queen walked over and took the Tasque from Rouxls' hand, carrying it in both of hers. She noticed while it was squirming in her hand, that it was leaning towards Rouxls, Queen figured, with how much Tasque Manager hates Rouxls that it was only natural it would train her Tasques to hate the weird dude as well. Queen looked back at where Rouxls was and noticed he was gone, looking over to the sink she saw him cleaning his face of the sky blue blood that formed on it from the Tasque attack. His hair was still glowing and fluffed up, she wondered what other emotions looked like, she also wondered what the fluffed up and glowing hair meant. But before she could question further Rouxls had already started look back at her, or rather, the Tasque. The emotion on his face was hard to read but Queen though it looked like  ' Confusion '  ' Resentment '  and another one she couldn't quite name, but something that looked as if he wasn't all that surprised the Tasque to attack him. Looking back at the Tasque, Queen decided it was best if she held onto it while Rouxls does whatever else to get them out of the café. Now that it was somewhat safe, he went over to the flashlight, took off the cloth covering it and picked it up. Looking around, flashlight in hand he saw a light switch, and wondered why Queen didn't press it before, nonetheless he went over and turned on the light, then turned off the flashlight, setting it down on what was probably a table used for when the Swatchlings had breaks. Soon enough, warm yellow lights buzzed on and the darkness that made the place look unfriendly and dangerous went away, but that didn't stop Rouxls from feeling as if something was off, although if anything that was probably from how eerily empty the place was. Rouxls felt a little bad for Swatch, as when Rouxls still worked in the Color Café Swatch was always on closing shift, but he guessed he shouldn't feel that bad as Swatch was always somewhat passive aggressive towards Rouxls, and very clearly didn't like him that much. An idea popped into Rouxls' mind as he was thinking of the closing shift of the Color Café, he could just exit through the backdoor, obviously. So he walked over to the back door, again. He put his gloved hand on the handle, turned it, and successfully opened the door. " Oh tis Actuallyeth Workes.. " Rouxls said, peeking out into the alleyway. " Why Didn't You Think Of That Before ? " Queen asked, Rouxls was tempted to ask the same thing but targeted towards her, then decided against it, as he was a little scared he would heavily piss off Queen. He did not want another higher rank of he to not like him. So instead he just replied with a simple " I don'tst knoweth " and walked outside. Queen followed short and soon they both found themselves in the alleyway at the back of Color Café, the seemingly stray Tasque still trying to claw at Rouxls. Walking out of the alleyway, they noticed how eerie the town had gotten. But before they could question anything the day reset, wasn't it too early? Maybe Rouxls did something wrong. 

He woke up again, at his desk, again. At this point he was so tired of this that he decided to just get up, flop on his bed, and try to fall asleep. Unfortunately it had other plans, so he never fell asleep. Instead he just slightly melted onto his bed and was too lazy to get up. After a few minutes of just laying on his bed, law of perpendicular paper finally got up barely walking to his door and essentially sliding down the stairs he made himself dark noodles, then realized he had forgotten about his bugs. Although the room wasn't that far away he still ran to it, bursting open, to see a room, full of bug cages. Glancing over the cages they all had bugs in them, good. He went over to a storage.. thing, in the room and pulled out a variety of food for his beloved bugs. Going over to all the cages he plopped some food in a ' food corner ' of their enclosure, once done he went over to one tarantula he owned and checked to see if the food was empty, all he saw was a mold and dirt in the water. He walked to the bathroom connected to the bug room and filled a cup next to the sink with water, going back and pulling out the tarantula cage, he set his cup of water on the floor, put the lid back on, went over to pour the dirty water out, and then went to refill it and put it back in the cage. Putting the cage back into its place he went to his kitchen, where his now cooled off overtopped dark ramen noodles sat. Scooping the bowl that contained the noodles up he went over to his chair and sat down, ( I think I'll just sit in my house all day, seems like a plausible plan especially if the days are getting shorter, then again that could also mean that the days will get so short to the point of not existing anymore...... I wont think of that right now.. ) Thoughts like these filled his mind as he sat and ate his noodles. Soon being done with said noodles he went over to his sink and placed the bowl in gently.

Going outside he decided he would try and talk to the Lightners again, repeat the first day even, maybe that'll do something. So off he went to where he last met the Lightners, but something felt off.. He slowed down to what could only barely count as a walk and peeked around the corner. All he saw was Kris, standing alone, and muttering unintelligible rants, from what little Rouxls could make out, it was something about saves, and resets, but that was about it. He looked at Kris, confused, then realized it was probably weird and rude for him to be eavesdropping on something that was clearly causing them distress. So he walked away, confused but interesting in what the Lightner was muttering about, soon he caught sight of Ralsei and Susie chatting, he took a half step before realizing he had nothing to bother the two with, so he almost tripped, but quickly caught himself, trying to through his mind of what to do. ( Maybe what Kris was muttering about was important? This might be a stretch but perhaps they know...? No. That's impossible, they aren't that powerful....... I hope.. ) He continued staring off into the distance, stuck in his thoughts, not before seeing someone in front of him. His brain finally catching up he stepped back and blinked a few times, seeing as it was only Kris.. did they see him? That didn't seem reasonable though, they were turned around when Rouxls eavesdropped, and by now Rouxls was far enough away for it to seem as if he didn't hear. Still, Kris stood there, staring at him with their red eyes, or eye, as one was completely covered. Might just be Dark World affects on Lightners, but Rouxls swore Kris' eyes were glowing. " Erm- Y-Yeseth? " Rouxls asked, staring at everywhere but Kris and trying to internally calm down so his hair didn't fluff up and glow as much as it was. Kris was silent for a bit before asking in an even more distant voice than last he had heard, " Why were you listening? " Rouxls stared directly at them now, giving up on trying to internally calm himself down, as much as he wanted to look away from those piercing red eyes he just couldn't, his mind was fogging up too much for him to care about that. ( How the fuck do they know? Do they have eyes on the back of their head or something? They were looking away, how could have they seen me??? ) He stared silently, while Kris stared back. They both didn't notice the two people approaching, before someone, Susie, interrupted what was essentially a staring contest with, " What are you guys doing? " looking over, they both saw Susie and Ralsei, staring at them, Ralsei had a blank expression and Susie looked confused. " Just a silly staring contest " Kris said after a few seconds of silence, Ralsei and Susie looked back from Kris to Rouxls then Kris again, and Rouxls just stared at Kris with an unreadable expression, to most at least. " Is that true? " Ralsei asked, face still blank. Kris glanced at Rouxls, then back at Ralsei, their distant voice soon saying " Yes, that is true. " Susie raised an eyebrow. " Why though. " 

" No reason. " Kris responded. Ralsei looked back to Rouxls who was now trying to walk away from the conversation, but of course it wouldn't be that easy. " Why don't you confirm, Mr. Kaard? " Rouxls glanced back, now all of them were staring at him. Kris' face was blank, Susie looked unimpressed, and Ralsei's face was.... unreadable, he had a sweet smile and his eyes were just a little too open for comfort. Rouxls, now extremely uncomfortable just said with haste, " Uh Yeah, Staringeth Conteste " But Ralsei kept pushing, " Are you sure you aren't just agreeing with Kris? " Rouxls decided he would just book it, it isn't like it would matter much anyways. The day might as well reset now. So that's what he did, he ran deep into Castle Town.

He of course got lost, soon finding himself at a pitch black lake in the middle of a dark forest, he didn't know which. He supposed he should probably just sit on the ground and wait until the day was over, but something in his brain told him that that was a bad idea. He wanted to lay down, maybe sleep for a while, but that one part of his brain countered the sleepy side and stopped him from passing out on the forest floor, again. So he just stared into the void that were lakes in the Dark World, soon spacing out again.

He got dragged out of his thoughts by a noise, a faint but noticeable noise, specifically a stick snapping, he looked behind him. He saw... nothing.. until he noticed a Swatchling that had hidden themselves in the bushes, he panicked, thinking it was Dove, but soon realized the feathers were purple, so it wasn't Dove, what the bird like being was though, was none other that Pigeon ( Pib ) an easily scared Swatchling prototype, one of the 3 that were designed to be as smart as Swatch, but other than that and the fact they were Swatchlings, nothing about them were similar to the others in any way. They were all unique... even in bad ways. " Pigeon? " He called out, the Swatchling prototype slowly peaked his head up and out of the bushes. Soon they stood fully, although they were still a good few feet shorter than Rouxls. " Hey.. Sorry if I scared you- " Pib said awkwardly, readjusting his glasses on his odd mask like face thing. " Thou didn'tst scare-eth me, I wasth just surprisethed is all. " Rouxls responded, his hair going back to normal for once. " I was just here cuz uh.. Something odd is happening, though I doubt you know about it... " 

" Thee Time Loope? " 

Pib looked at Rouxls, a surprised but impressed expression plastered on his face, it soon switched to something negative but unreadable. " So you know about it as well? " Pib asked, they didn't wait for a answer though, instead started to blabber out ideas of what he thought was the reason and cause for this. " I personally think Ralsei is behind it, the weird goat man clearly knows something is up. Not to mention he's being all ' secretive ' n' shit. And his expressions make it clear he is trying to hide his true emotions and true thoughts.. " Pigeon's rant continued as Rouxls stared at them, what Pigeon was saying was somewhat believable, but Rouxls personally thought it was both Kris and Ralsei, before he could but in to voice his opinions though, the day reset.
