After the Spades King was overthrown, Rouxls was left without a job. There was already so little he could do, save for be a babysitter for Lancer. He's left bumbling around Card Castle, looking for anything or anyone to give him a job. But most people could hardly stand him, much less have him around for the long hours a job has. One day, he meets someone who could give him the purpose he so desires. But that ends up being more than he bargained for.

Beauty and the Beast AU!
There are rumors of the abandoned castle of Spadestown, about a King gone mad who killed his court and chased out the survivors and how he is still out there, either insane or grieving, and about a curse that swept over the once lively place.
There are also some rumors about Rouxls Kaard, the noble who had not a coin to his name and who was raising his son, Lancer, all alone in Spadestown. Those rumors however aren't nearly as interesting.
Both sets of rumors would be forgotten and never connected to anything, if not for one faithful day, once upon a time...
