You’re Everything and more

Summary:

“Dude, just tell him,” He turned around to glance at Jian Yi, draped over the baggy couch with his unashamedly opened robe sprawled against him, “Say it loud and proud; to all who hears, “Please He Tian, don’t give anyone attention other than me..- Ow!!!.”

“Fuck off idiot!”

“Don’t get involved, it’s none of your business,” Zhan Xi grumbled, both of them watching Mo as he disappeared around the corner.

“I wasn’t kidding. I’m sure He Tian would be over the moon if he said that.”

“I know,” Zhan Xi replied, his hand never leaving Jian Yi’s head. So soft, “Just promise me you won’t get involved.”

“I promise, Zhan Xi.”

Work Text:

It’s not that he was the type to be jealous. Far from it actually. Guanshan was all too used to people clinging onto He Tian. After all, the first person he had been introduced to were his plethora of (female) followers ready to knife him if he even looked at him the wrong way, before he had actually met the devil himself. They would follow him everywhere as if his underlings, only scarier. He had them at the tips of his fingertips, everyday and all day. And No matter where they went, He Tian would attract even more of these followers for his supposed harem cult.

The hot springs were no different.

“Dude, just tell him,” He turned around to glance at Jian Yi, draped over the baggy couch with his unashamedly opened robe sprawled against him, “Say it loud and proud; to all who hears, “Please He Tian, don’t give anyone attention other than me..- Ow!!!.”

“Fuck off idiot!” Mo growled as he slammed the pillow from the separate couch in the male’s face. Jian Yi grabbed it and held it against his chest, unashamed. “I’m not some psycho like you to be pouting about this!” He continued slower, his embarrassment dying down somewhat as the surrounding patrons started minding their business, “Tian can talk to who he wants.”

“All I’m saying. You guys barely get to see eachother with you working your gigs and He Tian leaving on business trips. I’m sure he will be more than willing to prioritize you if you asked.”

Jian Yi cowered as the male stood up, suddenly ready to fling the couch on him. With a huff, Mo Guanshan stormed off to get some air. As Jian Yi almost called out to him, he was suddenly distracted by a soft smack on the back of his head.

“Dont get involved, it’s none of your business,” Zhan Xi grumbled, both of them watching Mo as he disappeared around the corner.

“I wasn’t kidding. I’m sure He Tian would be over the moon if he said that.”

“I know,” Zhan Xi replied, his hand never leaving Jian Yi’s head. So soft, “Just promise me you won’t get involved.”

“I promise, Zhan Xi.”

It was suffice to say Mo Guanshan was in no good mood. He had barely touched the amenities no matter how much Jian Yi tried to drag him out (and he did so rather enthusiastically he might add.) He really wasn’t in the mood to see Jian Yi and Zhan Xi cling to eachother like bunnies. At least He Tian made that slightly tolerable by laughing and joking and poking fun at them.

Why do I have to say that shit? Mo Guanshan asked himself, for about the gazilith time that day,

It wasn’t that he was jealous. He wasn’t a jealous person like that. They could touch his bulging arms and call him affectionately for all he cared.

Touch him.

Fuck.

He was laying on the right side of the bed, suddenly hearing his hotel door being knocked on. Mo Guanshan rose up from the dead and flew to the door, Fucking finally , he thought to himself. He intended to give He Tian a piece of his mind. Not because he was jealous of course , just because it was rather dark out and he’d been worried that he was kidnapped or something.

Knowing He Tian, it was a damn possibility.

“You jackass, you better have a good re-who the fuck are you?”

Mo Guanshan stared at the male in front of him, who had a bright and distinct smile across his face that lit up the dark room Mo Guanshan was in. His hair was half blonde and eyes a hazelnut brown. From his clothing, you could tell he was one of the servers.

“Room service,” the irritating man called rather enthusiastically. It was then Mo Guanshan noticed the cart behind him. You would think the guy would announce it first and not scare the living crap out of him.

“I didn’t order room service.” Was Mo Guanshan’s deadpanned response, not quite trusting him.

“It was asked from the owner of this room.”

Of fucking course , Mo Guanshan thought to himself. He didn’t know what was worse. Whether he spent the day with those girls or that he’d ditched him for those girls and attempted to make up with him.

Mo Guanshan wasn’t bitter at all, just disappointed and extremely angry, growing worse by the second.

“Come in,” Mo Guanshan grumbled, moving to the side for the worker. The strangely positive man moved the cart inside and centered it in the middle of the room. He opened up the container and Mo Guanshan almost lost his head. A small steak dinner with meager vegetables that probably cost a fortune in such an upscale hotel. He could have whipped that up in no time; and better if he had the tools.

“This is one of our finer meals,” said the server, snapping Guanshan’s wandering thoughts, “Whoever the owner is, he must really appreciate you.”

“Thanks,” Mo Guanshan grumbled as the man smiled.

“My name is Yu-Jun. Your name is Mo Guanshan, isn’t it?”

“I don’t care” Mo Guanshan grumbled before noting the puppy dog look on the males face from being shot down. It reminded him of Jian Yi, that idiot cucumber,  “Yeah, it is.”

“Mountain,” The male said, rolling the name off of his tongue. There was only one other person who called him that, “What a beautiful name for a beautiful man,” What !? Mo Guanshan snapped out of his shortcomings to stare at the male as if he grew a second head, “See you around, Guanshan.”

“It’s Mo Guanshan!” Mo Guanshan barked back out at him, how creepy! Was this what type of workers five star hotels employed? Of course he barely ever came to these types of places except with He Tian but he was pretty sure you didn’t treat your customers so informally.

Whatever, he wasn’t the type to complain to the manager.

“So what happened?” Jian Yi asked as he met the mysterious man around the corner. Zhan Xi stood a little away, staring at the man in warning just to try something, “ Did you tell him it was from He Tian?”

“Yep, he totally bought it.”

Jian Yi sighed thankfully. It wasn’t always that his plans worked but when it did it was like an explosion!, Jian Yi would frankly call himself ingenious,  “Here’s your money.”

“No thanks,” Yu-Jun smiled, surprising the older males, “I’m just happy to help, and I did get a reward of my own” He said, remembering the dumbfounded look on Mo Guanshan’s face when he presented the meal for him. He walked off without another word, a light skip in his step.

Jian Yi and Zhan Xi watched the young man go then looked at each other. They both thought the same things.

What a weirdo .

***

“Yo,”

Mo Guanshan, Jian Yi and Zhan Xi looked up from their menus to find He Tian smiling at them. The man hadn’t come back to the hotel room last night, and to say Mo Guanshan was less than pleased was an understatement.

“Dude, where’ve you been!?” Jian Yi asked, seemingly just as annoyed, but mostly for Mo Guanshan’s sake, “You know how worried Guanshan was?”

“As if!” Mo Guanshan growled out at him, “Nice of you to finally join dickhead.”

“Seriously where were you!!?” Jian Yi asked.

“I had some business to attend,” He Tian replied though he wasn’t exactly concentrating on him in particular, “Everything okay, Mountain?” He asked, his eyes not leaving Mo Guanshan who seemed to find a lot of interest in the menu and away from the conversation. Business. You would think he would have the decency to tell him before he took off. This was supposed to be their vacation damnit.

“You don’t have the right to ask that!” Jian Yi, again, defended him, “You should have seen the guy, he just stuck himself in his room all day and refused to go anywhere.”

“Really?”

The way Mo Guanshan was suddenly glaring at Jian Yi (and not looking at He Tian), if looks could kill, Jian Yi’s head would have popped right off!

“Should have seen him, looking like a dying seal the entire time…” Jian Yi was honestly just concerned and it showed.

“Stop lying!” Mo Guanshan growled angrily, striking his hands on the table as he stood up. This earned looks and whispers from other patrons with their families. Looking around then at He Tian, he bit his lip, “I’m going to the washroom,” he grumbled, whirling out of his seat to walk off.

“He really looked like that?” He Tian asked, looking at Zhan Xi to see if it was bullshit. Zhan Xi was looking at Jian Yi disapprovingly then turned his attention to He Tian, paused and nodded. “ Fuck… .”

***

Mo Guanshan was rinsing his face and looking at his crumbled self in the small mirror. Truthfully he was a bit embarrassed by what he had done. Why did he have to make such a big deal out of it? He wasn’t some woman!

He suddenly felt someone approaching him from the side and turned to see a familiar face to give him a piece of his mind, but not the face he was expecting.

“Hello Guanshan!” A positive voice smiled at him, having come out from one of the stalls. Mo Guanshan glared at the weirdo hotel worker from last night, “Is everything alright?” The man asked, suddenly looking rather concerned by Mo Guanshan’s face. Mo had barely slept the night, so his eyes were slightly puffy, and the permanent frown on his face did him no favors.

“None of your business,” he growled, looking at his reflection in the mirror cautiously. He just wanted to be alone, truely, but when he had thought it had been He Tian who had approached him, he couldn’t help but feel relieved. Pausing, he looked at the man again who looked rather down, suddenly feeling rather bad for him. Ever since he became friends with Zhan Xi and Jian Yi, he was starting to feel this thing called empathy. He hated it, “It’s just my… friend.”

“He Tian,” the man finished for him.

“Yeah,” Mo Guanshan was a bit perturbed he remembered his name, “We finally had some time away from work and what does he do? He spends the whole day practically ignoring my existence then comes back to me like nothing happened!” His eyes knitted together before he whirled his head towards the mirror once again, feeling his emotions get the best of him, “Fuck!” He yelled, his eyes growing foggy from lack of sleep perhaps.

Yu-Jun stared at Mo Guanshan in concern, “It’s okay,” he said, moving his hand to reach Mo's shoulder when suddenly another hand caught his wrist and wrenched it painfully away from Guanshan’s figure.

Scram ,” a cold and desolate tone glared down at the menace of a man who blinked up at him in fear and surprise. The familiar voice made Mo Guanshan turn back in surprise, “ Or I’ll break it.”

“He Tian!” Mo Guanshan yelled, mortified by the events as he grabbed He Tian’s forearm, “Let go of him!”

He Tian let go and the male stumbled, immediately placed his hand on his wrist, a bruise already starting to form in the surrounding area.

“Go,” Mo Guanshan barked, standing between the two as he kept a tight grasp of He Tian’s arm. Yu-Jun took a second before he rushed out of the bathroom.

Friends , huh?” He Tian asked, turning his cold tone towards Mo Guanshan.

“Are you crazy?!!!”

He Tian looked back at Guanshan, his expression making the other pause, “He was about to touch you with his grimy fingers.”

“So!? What if he did! What’s it to you huh?”

Want to say that again?”.

“I mean-“ Shit, he moved back when He Tian started advancing upon him, trapping himself against the wall, “I mean why is it okay for your fangirls to touch and take all your attention and mine can’t?!!!!!”

Pause.

Both of their eyes widened.

“Guanshan….” He Tian said, his voice suddenly growing sympathetically. It pissed Guanshan off even more, “You should have said something.”

“Isn’t it….?! Why should I- ugh whatever, Forget I said anything,” Guanshan grumbled, pushing him away a little harder than normal. To his surprise, He Tian let go and Guanshan took advantage of that by rushing under his arm and away from him.

***

Why did he have to say anything? Why couldn’t he have just let things be? Why did he have to make things worse by spontaneously voicing his feelings when he could have kept his mouth shut?

Why didn’t He Tian come after him after all this time?

Mo Guanshan sat in the hotel room, alone with his thoughts. He truthfully didn’t want to be there anymore. The entire vacation had been ruined.

As he was encompassed in his thoughts, he heard a knock on the hotel door. He took a moment and with a sigh he painfully trudged over to the door and opened it.

“Hi,” Mo Guanshan’s eyes rested down at the man’s wrist where a bandage had been wrapped around, feeling guilty by the second, “I just wanted to see if you were alright.”

“Huh,” Mo Guanshan asked.

“I mean,” Yu-Jun rubbed the back of his neck with his good arm,, “I left you alone with your friend and he seemed really mad, so I thought he might have done something to you.”

“He Tian’s not like that,” At least he wasn’t anymore. Since they became lovers, He Tian never laid a scratch on him.

Five years today.

“You never know.”

“Tian is not like that.” Mo Guanshan stressed again. Yu-Jun sent him a look before sighing loudly.

“So there’s really no chance for me, huh?” The man asked, which practically stupefied Mo Guanshan’s existence.

“None at all.” Mo Guanshan replied to him quickly and uncomfortably. How He Tian always dealt with it he would never know., “You have bad taste,” he joked after another moment. He was not really used to this. The only person who ever approached him like this was He Tian.

The man smiled back at him warily, “My friends say the same thing.”

“It’s the truth.”

“It’s nice to see you come back to have your other arm broken,” a voice called out from a short distance. Mo Guanshan and Yu-Jun looked up in horror as He Tian stood in the middle of the hallway in simple walking distance. He had on a hotel robe similar to Guanshan’s, only his was shorter and slightly open.

Mo Guanshan turned to the other man and mumbled one word, “Run.”

The man didn’t have to be told twice.

Mo Guanshan turned back to He Tian who stood there awkwardly, “You’re late.” He grumbled, crossing his arms.

“I had business,” Of fucking course, “Listen, Guanshan,” he rubbed the back of his neck, “I shouldn’t have been so callous with your feelings.”

“Shut up, what feelings?” Mo Guanshan said, angry and bitter. He Tian suddenly started to  walk towards him, “Don’t come any closer!”

“I love you,” He Tian said, shocking the other into silence, “And I’m sorry I ruined our anniversary, I swear to you you mean more to me than any woman, man or alien combined.

“And I’ll be a lot more aware of your feelings, and if anyone of them asks me out again  I’ll just say ‘Ask my husband’

“You better fucking not dumbass,” Mo Guanshan growled back at him, before sighing as he took in the others expression. He was serious,

“Listen. I just, I just wish we had one day together where we aren’t followed around by your possy, that we can enjoy one day together without me having to…you know-“

“Know what?” He Tian asked in confusion. It took Guanshan another second to reply.

“… doubt myself whether I’m actually suited for you.”

“What!?” He Tian yelled, completely stupified by what he just heard, “Guanshan, don’t ever say that. You are everything to me and more, don’t you fucking say that.”

“But it’s true,” Mo Guanshan replied, glaring hard at his feet, “Why else would you accept attention from those girls?”

He Tian didn’t have an answer to that for the moment, still encompassed with what Guanshan had just said.

“It’s whatever. Let’s just drop it.” He was honestly really tired. And truthfully, he didn’t actually want to know the others' response. He felt so fucking embarassed and ashamed at  himself and he honestly didn’t feel better at all.

He was going to kill Jian Yi.

“No,” He Tian deadpanned and Mo Guanshan glared at him this time, “Guanshan, you are my entire existence and more. I never meant to make you feel like that, ever. I just didn’t know. You’ve never said anything like this before.”

“I would think it would be obvious… or something,” Mo Guanshan mumbled grumpily again. Fuck, he needed to stop opening his mouth.

“You’re right and that was my bad. I didn’t really think that far because those women mean absolutely nothing to me, so I just didn’t care. Guanshan, I’m sorry I ever made you doubt yourself, that you’re any less than the person you are.”

“Hey, it’s not a big deal, really,” Mo Guanshan stared back at He Tian, knowing how he must have felt. You would never think it but He Tian was extremely cautious of how he treated Guanshan ever since they got together. Unless they were roughhousing, he refused to lay a single finger on him. So to find this out now, he didn’t just feel like a dirtbag of a boyfriend, but a complete and utter failure.

“I won't entertain it. Hell I won’t even look at another woman again if that’s what you want.”

“You don’t have to go that far!” Mo Guanshan yelled, feeling strange about the rather overreactive response, “Listen, you’re uh…  relatively attractive and you can be sweet sometimes so it’s no surprise that you have a following. Just, I just wanted one day, without that whole commotion, I just wanted to spend the day with you that we never got in months.”

“I wanted that as well,” He Tian replied softly. It was the truth, only other factors ended up taking his time and annoyingly so.

“It’s not too late, I guess…” Mo Guanshan replied, crossing his arms as he looked down, “I mean we’re leaving in the morning, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t… do things.”

He Tian stormed over and enveloped him into a long and quick hug. Mo Guanshan was completely taken by surprise, “Oi, let me go asshole!”

“I love you so fucking much,” He Tian said, pulling away even though he didn’t want to, “and I’ll be more mindful of your feelings from now on, I swear it.”

“It’s whatever,” Guanshan muttered again awkwardly, “Plus, they’ll probably be more scarier if you just ignore them.”

“I’ll kill them if they touch you.”

His tone was serious, Guanshan felt like whacking him, “Even Yu-Jun knows that now, I guess.”

“Who?” He Tian asked, forgetting about that dumbass for the moment.

“No one. Let’s just go inside. I’m tired.”

“Yes Don’t Close Mountain,” He Tian said, the only one who was allowed to call him that.

“What business did you have to attend to anyway?” Mo Guanshan asked as they shuffled back inside, “Jerk.”

“Oh, just the accounts. Haven’t been back here for a while so there’s a lot of work to be done, first thing on my list tomorrow is firing the recruiters.”

Wait , Tian, You own this place?”

“Yeah.”

“What!???”
