Summary

He faintly smells like the miniature rainforest he had crafted so painstakingly for Little Jealousy, and not like another man as Chi Cheng so feared. Everything should be fine, and yet. Chi Cheng still feels the unease that had encased him ever since Gangzi had spoken of all the possibilities of others.
Others looking at Wu Suowei and noticing the handsome lines of his face, the warmth of his eyes, the soft cadence of his voice — others coveting what is his.

Chi Cheng, finally fighting through the lump in his throat, sucks in a sharp breath, and his chest aches so fiercely he wonders for a moment if he's dying, if witnessing what he's done to Wu Suowei—what they've done to each other—is enough to kill him right then and there.
His hands latch onto Wu Suowei's face before he can stop himself, brutally gripping his jaw and the nape of his neck. It's too rough for what Chi Cheng is trying to convey, but he's never been good at being gentle.
"Never," he demands, dark eyes burning into Wu Suowei's tearful ones, "think that you are anything less than everything to me. And if I ever make you feel like I don't love you, you fucking tell me. Do you understand?"
