Chapter Text

It was the 2nd semester of the school year and Karl was getting used to his daily routine. He would ride the bus to school with Quackity(Alex) and Slime(Charlie). They would get to school and go to their first periods. Karl and Slime had it together but Quackity didn't. But today was different. When they got to school and got to their first period after setting down their stuff in the classroom, Karl got called down to the office. He didn't know what he had done because he was a good student. He walked down there and he saw the Vice principal, Mr.Wilbur, standing there, talking with a new kid. He was fairly tall and had short black hair with a white bandana in it. “Ah! There he is. Karl, Mr.Phil wanted you to tour this new student, Nick, around!” Mr.Wilbur said, sounding his normal cheery but tired self.
“Hello. Nice to meet you, I'm Nick Armstrong” He said, his voice rough and kinda low.
“I'm Karl Jacobs!” Karl said, holding out his hand to shake his.

He shook it and Mr.Wilbur sent us our way. We talked as Karl showed him around the school. Karl thought was quite handsome but he probably wasn't part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Everyone knew that Karl was gay. He was bullied for it just a bit. “This is the lunch/cafeteria. We are allowed off campus but I dont go because I don't have my license yet. But you're more than welcome to come sit with me at lunch! I sit with my friends Quackity, George, And Slime. Quackity and Slime are just nicknames we call them. Quackity is Alex and Slime is Charlie.” Karl said as he took him around the lunch room.
“Thats cool nicknames, My friends Dream and Techno used to call me Sapnap, which dream called me, is pandas backwards but the d flipped up.” He chuckled.
“Oh I like that!” Karl said, as he giggled himself.
They finished touring and by the end, it was the second period. Karl had to run back to class to get his stuff. “Where were you all last period?” Slime asked curiously.
“There is a new kid named Nick that I had to tour around. I invited him to come sit with us at lunch if that's alright with you two.” Karl replied as he looked at Quackity and Slime.
Quackity smiled and laughed, “Yea thats alright by me. It would be nice to have someone else to talk to besides the twink and the nerd.”
“Rude! Im not that gay Quackity! Jeez'' Karl said and giggled while punching him in the arm as a joke.
“I'm not even that smart! The most I know in Math is Pi.” Slime said, jokingly offended.

It was lunch by this time and as he was walking in the halls, some of his bullies tripped him and Quackity had to catch him before he fell on the concrete and bust his head open.
“What the hell man!? Why the fuck did you trip him?!” Slime said, pretty pissed off.
“Slime, it's fine, I'm alright.” Karl said, catching his breath.
Sapnap had seen what had happened and rushed over. “Are you alright? You look like you can’t breathe!” Sapnap said as he picked up Karl and put him on his back to see if he would calm down.
“Yo, the fuck are you doing with my best friend?!” Quackity said, quite ticked off but keeping it to himself.
“Quackity, this is the kid I was talking about. This is Nick or Sapnap.” Karl said to calm him down. “And thank you by the way Sapnap. I can breathe again.” Karl said, his face slightly pink.
Sapnap chuckled, “No problem. Let's go to lunch. I’ll beat up those kids after school.” He said as he put down Karl and walked to their table at lunch and got lunch from the cafeteria.
Karl knew he shouldn’t be falling for him because he didnt if he was even gay or not.
“Dude, Mrs.Niki is soooo nice to me! She kept helping me with my dyslexia and color blindness today during Art!” Karl said as he was eating.
“She is isn't she?” Quackity said with a smile on his face.
Sapnap looked confused. “Who is that again? Is she the shorter gal with light pink hair?”
“Yea! She is definitely one of the nicest teachers in this school.” Quackity said, elbowing Sapnap while saying it.
Slime had his jello shots for everyone and gave them to Sapnap.
“What's this?” Sapnap asked, looking at the others.
“It's a homemade jello shot! You peel off the lid and pop it into your mouth like Quackity is struggling to do.” Slime said, pointing to Quackity.
Quackity glared at him, “Oh hush.” He said as it fell onto his lap.
Everyone laughed at this.

Chapter Text

Karl had gone home to see his parents fighting so he just walked up to his room in the attic. He flopped down onto his bed and opened his phone up to check his snapchat. He heard a knock on the door downstairs so he went to go check it out. It was his ex.
Karl started to panic. His ex had abused him and treated Karl like shit.
“Hey Karl baby!” He said as he looked him in the eyes.
“The fuck you doing here..I told you to never show your ass here agian.” Karl said, his voice shaking.
“I just wanted to see you again! I’ve missed you so much.” He begged.
Karl texted Quackity to come help him out. Quackity responded with “Try to talk to him while I'm driving to get to you, alright?”
His ex had flowers and looked like he was drunk.
“Why did you fucking come here.” Karl said, putting his phone away.
“Well to apologize. And if you dont fucking let me in, i will come in there myself. And you don't wanna know what I'm gonna do to you Karl.” He said, with a pissed off look.
Karl got really fucking worried that something was gonna happend to him. But before he could say anything else, Quackity pulled up.
“KARL!” Quackity said, getting out of the car. Quackity ran up to karls ex and shoved him out of the way. Quackity’s wings were out to defend Karl. “Go the FUCK away before I get into some serious trouble because i did something to you.” Quackity said, staring into karls exs eyes. His ex ran away after that.
“Thank you so mu-” Karl said before being hugged very tightly by Quackity.
“Are you ok? Did he do anything to you? Did he hurt you?” Quackity said, holding Karl’s face.
“No he didn't. But thank you.” Karl said, holding Quackit hand on his face.
Karl was super glad to have Quackity as his friend. He knew that he could always talk to him if anything was ever bothering him or if something had happened.
“I’m gonna spend the night to make sure he doesn't come back, alright?” Quackity said, a worried look on his face.
Karl giggled, “ Alright Quacks, whatever you say. Come on, let's go up to my room.”
Karl shut the door and locked it and caught up to quackity who was already almost to his room. They hung out for a bit, on their phones and played Monopoly. Karl had Sapnaps number and decided to text him. He knew he wasn't gonna get a response for the night since it was 2:30 A.M.
“Ooooo who ya textin over there Jacobs?” Quackity said, peeking at karl’s phone.
“Oh- uhm- i- its just Sapnap.” Karl chuckled nervously, his face getting red by the second.
“Ooooooooooooooooo.~ someones gotta crushhhhhhhhh, ooooooooooooo,” Quackity said, elbowing him.
Karl shoved him away jokingly,” What the honk quackity I don't know what you are talking about!”
“Sure you dont.” Quackity said, with a smirk.

Chapter Text

Karl saw Sapnap get on his bus in the morning and Karl didn't know why he was on his bus. Quackity was at a funeral today so Sapnap sat by him. He and Sapnap talked all the way to school. They walked in together and the both had to part ways but before they did, Sapnap said, “See ya later, mi amor”
Karl couldn't stop thinking about it throughout the day. He was so tempted to ask him if he was gay or not but he was so scared. Lunch rolled around and he sat down with his food, which he had made sushi at 3 AM with quackity because why not. Sapnap came over to the table and sat down right next to karl.
“Hey Jacobs. Are you alright with me sitting here?” He said, looking him in the eyes.
Karl stuttered, “Uhm yes of course! Hehe w-why do you ask? You like my friend so ofc you can sit next to me.”
Quackity started laughing as karls face started turning bright red. Sapnap chuckled at the fact that he was like that. Quackity had come back a little bit before the 4th period after his funeral of his grandma. Slime was at a dentist appointment, getting his braces tightened. He had ELA next and wasn't excited for that other than the class after that which was fashion class. He got to make outfits with his friend in that class, George. When they were together for a project, and most of the time, it's a competition, so they always win. A dance was coming up for spring. He and George were making outfits for the dance for their friends, Sapnap, Quackity, Slime, and themselves. Karl was going to wear a dark green top with a short flowy skirt that was gold. He had suspenders holding up the skirt. He made a flower crown to go with and same with brown shoes. He was so excited to start working on it again. Once that class rolled around, he ran into class, grabbed the things he needed, and started working on it right away. George came in and sat down next to him to work on his outfit.
“Why were you in such a rush to get started?” George asked, joking.
“Cuz i'm honking excited to finish this and try it on! Aren't you?” Karl said, bouncing up and down in his chair.
“Well who are you going with? Cuz ik there's one person who you are attracted to soooo” George said, with a hint of Sapnap.
“Right uhm i’ll ask him later ok?” Karl said, with a sigh of losing oconfindence.
They worked until the bell rang to go to their last period of the day. Karl had math so finished up the day with that and then went home to see only his mom home.
“Wheres dad?”Karl said, a worried tone.
“Does it look like i fucking know Karl, go up to your room please.” His mom said, drunk.
He went up to his room and played Minecraft on his PC after doing his homework.

Chapter Text

Karl wanted to ask out Sapnap but he didn't want to get rejected. He really did like Sapnap, but he doesn't know if he likes him back. He was almost finished making his outfit, he just needed to make the shoes, which was the hardest part, and then the flower crown. George had finished his and was working on slimes. He was going to wear a white tux with green vines on it, dark brown pants, and some black boots. Karl was in charge of making sapnap and quackitys. Sapnap likes the color red and yellow so he was gonna theme it around that but still make it feel like it belonged in the spring dance. Quackity liked blue and black so he was gonna make a Blue blouse with black suspenders and dark green cargo jeans. He was still deciding on sapnaps outfit. The theme was formal so he was trying to make everything mostly formal.
“Sooo, how's your little crush?” Quackity asked Karl, joking with him.
“What the honk quackity? How did you figure it out?!” Karl asked, not understanding that he was joking.
“Wait, do you?” Quackity asked curiously.
“Uhm no?” He said quickly.
Quackity awed, “Awwww karlos has a crush!!!”
Karl shushed him. “Shhh not so loud that everyone can hear it! I don't need everyone knowing.”
Quackity shut his mouth quickly. He took Karl to the bathrooms and looked him dead serious in the eyes, “Karl, are you sure you wanna date someone after what that last moron did to you? I don't want people to hurt you like that again.”
Karl sighed. “Yes quackity, I'm sure. I can trust him. He would treat me right I feel like. At least I hope.”\
“And if he doesn't, I will beat his ass karl. Just for you. Best friends forever, karlos.” Quackity said, looking at him with a sincere smile.
Karl giggled. “Ofc I do

quacks! I always have your back too quacks.”
They walked out and finished up their school day. Karl didn't really feel like going home. He wanted to see Sapnap and see how he was doing cuz he missed him. He just wanted to tell him that he liked him but he needs to ask him to the dance at least. He opened up snapchat, and texted Sapnap, “Hey Sapnap! I was wondering if you wanted to hang out at the park. :D”
He immediately replied. “Sure! Is this like a date or something? Do I need to bring flowers?”
Karl got so red. He knew he was joking but he didn't know what to say. “Uhm if you consider it a date, sure!”
Again he replied almost immediately, “Alright. I will be there in about 5 minutes. I don't live too far away so I can get you something before I stop by.”
Karl responded, “Ok! See you here then. :3”

Karl waited for sapnap as he showed up, he was carrying a thing of roses and a stuffed bunny. He got Karl two of his favorite things, bunnies and flowers. Karl ran up to him. “Hey Sap!”
“Oh there you are! Sorry it took longer than i expected. The cashier was taking his sweet time with the gal in front of me. But here,” He said, handing the things to me. The bunny was just perfect for holding and cuddling.
Karl's face got pink. “You didn't have to get me anything Sap. I just appreciate you being here. I was lonely and didn't want to go home to my parents fighting again.”
Sapnap smiled, “Your fine Jacobs. I understand. When my parents were still married, my dad was an alcoholic. So I normally went over to my friend's dreams house. We would chill and play Minecraft together.”
“Wait, you play minecraft as well? What is your user?” Karl asked, excited all of a sudden.
“Yea ofc i do! Why wouldn't i? It's a great game. and my user is just Sapnap.” Sapnap replied.
Karl sent him a friend request on Minecraft and went along with the so-called “date”. They swung on the swing set, walked down by the river, and soon it had started to rain. Karl didn't mind the rain but didn't like his clothes being wet. Sapnap took off his leather jacket and put it over karls shoulders. Karl smiled and looked at Sapnap. “Hey weird question but what's your sexuality?”
Sapnap looked shocked to be asked that. “Uhm im bisexual, why?”
Karl got super excited. “Uhm well, actually it's nothing so. Im gay so.” His face started getting beat red by the second and he started getting lost in Sapnaps Eyes.
“Ok? Well uhm Karl i had a question. There is a dance coming up right? Well, I was wondering,” Sapnap looked him in the eyes and took his hands, “Would you be my date to the dance?”
“Ofc Nick! I was actually gonna ask you that same question but you beat me right to it. I already told Q that i was gonna ask you and he said if you hurt me in any way, like my ex, he will beat your ass, so just for warning ya.” Karl said, blushing while giving him a true smile.
Sapnap chuckled, “Ok mi amor. I wont do anything to you I promise.” He said, kissing karls cheek.

They finished up and Karl walked back to his house, walked up right to his room. He laid on his bed and screamed into his pillow. He texted Quackity the news and he was making Karl feel even more flustered. Karl drifted off to sleep while watching Heartstopper. He was mostly thinking about Sapnap. He was excited for the dance now.
