Kai and Pixal, who stare at him with concern laced in their eyes, their positions tell him they were mid-conversation when he crashed past the walls. Zane and Nya are together, the latter grabbing a tea packet from one of the shelves behind the register, the former standing beside her with a teapot in his hands. Jay and Cole are sitting together, both their mouths stuffed with pastries that shoot a spike of envy up Lloyd’s spine, because damn would he kill for some food right now.
