“I’m Froggy here I come. I’m not afraid of anyone.”
Virgil shuddered.
“Horrible concept. Constantly taking risks. Thomas, never do that.”
They were in Thomas’s living room, in front of the tv.
Thomas gave Virgil a deadpan look.
“First of all, this isn’t real. Second of all, if it were, I wouldn’t exactly have a choice.”
Virgil paused for a moment.
“Oh my gosh! You’re right!” Virgil grabbed his own hair.
“It’s kinda like the time Virgil duck out,” Patton said, and then quacked. Logan pinched his chin, seeming puzzled by something.
“So…the akumatized child just…rides around all day singing that song? Does he not stop to eat at all?”
“I suppose we never do see the akumatized villains do inane ordinary tasks while under Hawkmoth’s villainous butterfly influence,” Janus said.
Virgil hissed at Janus, but it was probably clear he wasn’t into it, still unsettled by the concept of being unable to stop Thomas from taking risks.
“Not to mention this one happens to be a child…” Logan continued, “That would be highly irresponsible-“
Roman groaned dramatically. “We’re not supposed to think about that, Specs. It’s an animated tv series.”
“And yet, we are.” Janus snarked.
“Wait, how would that affect us!? Would something happen to me?” Virgil continued. “And the creativity knucklehead twins would wreak havoc with their impulsiveness set lose!”
“Hey!” Roman exclaimed. Remus just snickered.
Already, Virgil’s thoughts went to the different possibilities that could go so so bad in such a situation. The types of suggestions he’d heard before, the amounts of dangers…
Logan sighed.
“I do not see the reason to think over such things, as like mentioned before, this is not a real thing that could happen.” He turned to face Virgil.
“Remember, this is not happening to us. Do we need to take a moment?”
Virgil huffed but then nodded, breathing a bit with Logan.
“That we know of!” Remus called out. Virgil chocked on his recent attempt at a breath.
“Logan may be smart, but there’s no way he can actually know everything. There’s so many possibilities out there we aren’t aware of, so we can’t say with certainty that this can’t happen.” Remus continued.
“Virgil, breath.” Logan caught his attention again.
“Why is it not surprising that you use your actual smarts to cause distress,” Janus said to Remus drolly. Remus didn’t respond.
“Virgil.” Logan’s face was right in front of him , but not too close.
“Remember, you are here. We can look up institutes of facts to show no activity correlating to the affects of any unnatural ability with likeness to the one from the show. We are here, in Thomas’s apartment. We are safe.”
“Well-“
“For the time being.” Logan interrupted, not unkindly. “You have looked into the many risk factors involved around here, multiple times. You have the knowledge to keep us safe, and have done so many times. You are able to do your job.”
Virgil let himself breath deeply again, and then groaned. He was really getting this worked up over a cartoon? He’s an adult!
“Hey,” Patton said, with a frown. “You don’t need to start thinking bad about yourself now.”
Virgil did not pout, thank you. “You don’t know what I’m thinking.”
“Ah, but you see. We know you, Emo Knightmare.” Roman said, rising in an over-the-top way.
“Consider, we take up part of Thomas, and impact each other. If anything, Remus and I are likely huge perpetrators in the ways Thomas will think about scenarios that are not known in the real world. Hence, involving the imagination after all.”
Logan adjusted his glasses and nodded. “Precisely.”
Virgil huffed and rolled his eyes. “Yeah, ok.”
