There was a shift in the aura around Akutagawa. It was much less threatening, but just as overwhelming and intense. It was almost as if he was holding himself back from something.
Atsushi reached for Akutagawa's hand. He barely understood what he was doing himself, but he was giving in and letting his body move before his mind could talk him out of it. He brought Akutagawa's hand to his lips and kissed his knuckles. He looked Akutagawa in the eyes as he did so, flicking out his tongue to lick between his fingers.
Akutagawa clenched his teeth then sighed through his nose. It was like whatever defenses he had up were crumbling away. He took his hand back from Atsushi's and slid it up his rival's arm until he reached his neck. He clasped the back of his neck and drew him in for a kiss. It was open-mouthed and hungry.
