Every time Kiyoomi comes home on the verge of tears, Atsumu knows in a few seconds, jumping up from the couch and running to his partner. Kiyoomi doesn't even manage to close the door and he's already tackled into a hug, warmth spreading through his body, blond hair tickling his neck.
When he finally closes the door, he murmurs: "I'm home." Of course, his voice breaks. Atsumu just hugs him even tighter.
"Welcome home, love," travels into the taller's ear in a whisper. Kiyoomi lets himself be hugged and the tears find their way out.
He stopped wondering how Atsumu always notices a long time ago. The latter doesn't need to even look at his face to know he's feeling shitty. It takes him exactly three seconds to sense Kiyoomi's mood and decide what to do with it. Kiyoomi is more than grateful.
"Double T?" Atsumu asks.
"Double T," Kiyoomi nods and they pull apart; Atsumu heads to the kitchen and Kiyoomi sits on the couch.
When the blond comes back, tea is not the only thing he's carrying. A big soft blanket falls onto the raven, who slowly moves to spread it and cover both of them with it. He takes the hot cup from Atsumu and feels his tender eyes on himself as he takes a small sip. He has his tea in his hands, now the second T – talking.
So he talks and talks and talks to his husband and the other one listens and listens and listens.
When Kiyoomi goes silent again, the cup is empty and so is his head. The overwhelming thoughts and memories of the long day are gone, the only thing that stays is love. It's warm, it's soft and it's a home. It's Atsumu.
Kiyoomi is more than grateful to his husband. He reads him better than anyone and Kiyoomi lets him. Because Atsumu found a way into his heart and made himself home. And Kiyoomi's heart stays warm forever.
