They just wanted to finally enjoy their free time together which was quite difficult nowadays. In between school and training they just couldn´t find the time to go out.
Sure, they spend time together in dorms, but there they weren´t able to be alone. Sitting in the common room on a couch, cuddled together, ended with everyone of their classmates sitting around them and destroying the peaceful atmosphere they both craved. Sitting together in the kitchen and enjoying a meal together rarely worked out either. Every time someone would walk and sit down next to them and start talking to them.
Even when they were cuddling on one of their beds, in one of their rooms, even then someone would interrupt.
It seemed as if their friends didn´t want them to be alone.
They were frustrated.
So much so that by the next opportunity they made the decision to just go out. Everything else be damned. They just needed to spent some time alone together.
They just shared a look with each other and simply nodded.
Rushing to put on their coats and shoes, grabbing the other by the hand and linking their fingers together, opening the door and storming out, slamming said door closed behind them without looking back.
Only when they were a certain distance from the dorms did they stop running, standing still for a moment and just looking at each other ´till Bakugou cracked a smile and Todoroki followed suit. The blond shook his head and together they started to walk down the street.
They decided that they didn´t want to risk running into one of their friends and made their way towards a bus stop. Not really caring where they would go just wanting to be a little way away from everyone and everything.
It didn´t take long for the bus to arrive. Stepping in they paid for their tickets and took a seat on the right side, Bakugou sat by the window staring outside as the bus began driving again. Talking about everything and nothing, just enjoying the others company without interruptions. They smiled and giggled together until at one bus stop a huge amount of people stepped in. All seats were already taken so these people had to stand. Everyone was squished together and it was extremely uncomfortable.
Todoroki didn´t notice it at first, he only did when he turned to look at his boyfriend again and his eyes widened as he took in said boyfriends face and breathing.
Bakugous breaths came fast and heavy, his face was pale and his eyes slightly glassy and unfocused, he trembled and had his hands clenched into fists on his upper thigh. His knuckles were white and his foot started to rapidly tap against the floor.
Realizing what was happening, Todoroki sild to the left side of his seat, giving Bakugou as much space as he could. Not wanting to draw attention to them, Todoroki spoke quietly to Bakugou:
"Kugou... is it okay if I touch you?"
It took his boyfriend a moment to nod as a response but he did and Todoroki slowly reached out and took his hand in his, not moving an inch closer though. Bakugou flinched at slightly at the contact but grabbed his hand tighter once he made the connection that this was his boyfriends hand. When the blondes breathing still came out to harsh in Todorokis opinion he slowly lifted their hands and brought them to his own chest. Laying Bakugous palm flat over his heart.
"Try to follow my breathing, okay?" Todoroki said.
He tried to breath as steadily and deep as he could so that his boyfriend could try to recreate them.
The bus stopped and a few people stepped out giving everyone a little ore space again. Which seemed to help Bakugou immensely. After a few more minutes he had his breathing back to a normal rhythm and tugged on his Boyfriends hand to bring him closer again. The blond clung to him, exhausted and Todoroki lay an arm around his shoulders bringing Bakugou closer and resting the blondes head on his shoulder.
At the next stop they got out of the Bus and slowly made their way towards a Cafe where they could sit down. Bakugou always craved something sweet after such an episode so Todoroki ordered him some cake.
"Roki?"
"Yes, Kugou?"
"We won´t take the bus to go back right?" Bakugous voice was small as he asked that and Todorokis heart broke a little at the tone. He didn´t like hearing him like this. His Boyfriend was tough, strong, explosive, confident. Not this.
"I´ll call Aizawa, when we decide to go home"
"He won´t be happy about having to pick us up..."
"Kugou, we both know that he won´t mind when we tell him why"
Bakugou nodded in response. He didn´t like that people knew about his little ´Problem´, but it couldn´t be helped and Todoroki made sure that he knew that it was nothing to be ashamed of.
They ate Bakugous cake together and when Bakugou felt up to it again they resumed their date.
Walking around, hand in hand.
Laughing and smiling with each other.
Sure, their date didn´t really start well, but the rest would certainly make up for it.
