Chapter Text
Marinette hit the ground hard, she sighed for a minute, before hopping back to her feet, “Lucky charm!” She yelled, throwing her yo-yo up, and a broom fell into her hands.
“You gonna sweep away the competition?” Chat Noir said, his confidence showing through his voice.
“Har har kitty,” Marinette said, with mock annoyance, she truly enjoyed Chat’s jokes, but she wasn’t gonna try to lead on her feline companion by giving that away. Marinette was still hopelessly in love with Adrien Agreste, much like how she believed Chat was hopelessly in love with her. Marinette shook her head clear of this boy trouble, and looked around for where she could use her lucky charm.
“Hmm,” Marinette hummed, “I’m not sure how to use this,” She said, looking around once more.
“Sucks to be you!” The akumatized Lila said, this time she called herself world hopper, but before Marinette had time to question the name, as thus far Lila had only been using sheer force, Chat came running in, lunging at Lila swinging his stick. He got a good bonk on her head, before Lila jumped back, opening a vortex of sorts where a rush of water poured through, knocking Chat off his feet.
“For your information World Hopper, only Ladybug is allowed to knock me off my feet.”
Marinette rolled her eyes, and used her yo-yo to tie the broom to her back. She ran at World Hopper, hoping to find the akumatized object, but Lila jumped back in reply, snapping her fingers and opening yet another vortex, this time a blast of fire came out. Before the portal could close someone yelled “WHOA!” And a figure fell out of the portal, someone else hopped through, grabbing onto the guy to prevent him from falling, but to no avail the other guy fell.
The continued on until there were six strange people, all dressed in various colors, and all of them fell through the portal, and onto the pavement, with a splash from the flood of water which had just run through. The other vortex, opened earlier, had some sort of shooting star come out, with five beings on it, a pink orb, an orange orb, a bird-like being, a purple orb, and a cat-egg in a robe.

“Is everyone ok!?” Lloyd asked, hopping to his feet quickly.
“Just my pride,” Kai groaned in response, pushing himself up into a sitting position. Kai had fallen through the portal because he wasn’t able to stop his momentum, or jump out of the way fast enough, so he had fallen through, accidentally dragging the others with him when they went to save them.
Jay, who had landed on his face, weakly raised his hand with a thumbs up. Cole was the second to get to his feet, he was mostly fine except for the scratches on his arms, which were unprotected.
“Affirmative” Zane replied, getting up and helping Nya to her feet.

The shooting star, actually called the warp star, crashed near where the ninja’s were, breaking on impact.
“What is it with us and crash landings?” Bandana Dee complained.
“Just our luck kid…” Meta grumbled under his mask.
“Is everyone okay?” Kirby asked, to nodding from the others.
The Ninja dressed in green whipped around to face the RtDL at the sound of them talking, the ones dressed in red, white, and gray also did the same, as the one dressed in black helped the one dressed in blue to their feet.
“Who are you?” The green one asked, struggling to mask their obvious confusion with determination and confidence.
“I’m Kirby!” Kirby said happily, “And these are my friends!”
“Kirby, I don’t think we should give our names out like candy,” Magolor said, the other four side-eyed the ex-traitor.
“He does have a point,” The one dressed in black said, “You never know what could happen with people you’ve just met.”
“That’s why we side-eyed him, because of something he did,” Bandanna Dee snarked.
“Hey!” Magolor stated, “And I definitely paid the price!”
“The only reason I’m not going deeper is because Sire would yell at me,” Bandanna Dee sighed.
An awkward pause hovered over the two groups, before the ninja dressed in blue broke it. “So, is this another realm?” He asked plainly.
“It better not,” the gray one sighed, “from your stories of the First Realm, inter dimensional travel does not sound fun.”
“Hey! You weren’t there, you can’t speak on that,” the red one added, clearly joking from the tone of his voice.
“Knowing our luck, and what just happened to us, most likely,” Dedede bluntly stated.

The ninja turned around once more at the sound of two people landing with a quiet splash.
“Who are you two?” Kai blurted out, before anything else could be said.
“My name’s Chat Noir, and that lovely lady over there is Ladybug,” the man dressed as a cat replied, “and you guys are?”
Kai started speaking one again, but before he could get a word out Lloyd cut him off, if these people weren’t going to tell the ninja who they were, there was no reason for the Ninja to tell Ladybug and Chat who they were.
“We are the ninja, elemental masters and protectors of ninjag-“ Lloyd was interrupted by a beeping sound.
“ Shoot!” Ladybug gasped, “I’ll be right back,” She jumped away, only to return a few moments later, “Back sorry.”
“What just happened?” Jay asked, incredibly confusion evident in his voice.
“Why did you jump away?” The person who looked like an egg with a robe and cat ears asked.
“ As I was saying,” Lloyd began again, incredibly annoyed, “We are the ninja, protectors of Ninjago.”
“Nin-ja-go?” Chat replied, sounding out each syllable, “Where’s that?”
“I wanna know why Ladybug jumped away then came right back,” Zane said.
“Time limit on my miraculous,” Ladybug replied, notably not explaining further.
“I don’t think we should pry!” The pink orb, Kirby presumably, flailed their arms around as they spoke.
“It’s a good question!” Jay interjected.
The large group were startled by the sound of crashing. “You can’t hide!” A voice, laced with malace and contempt yelled out, “Come out, come out wherever you are, and give me your miraculous~” The voice added with the a sing-songy voice
“Why does that voice even want them?” The tall bird-like one asked.
“We’ll explain as soon as the entirety of Paris isn’t at stake,” Chat replied, jumping off in the direction of the voice.
“Let’s do this again,” Ladybug sighed, before yelling. “lucky charm!”
The magic creatures, led by presumably Kirby, grabbed weapons, the purple one with bat wings grabbed a sword, the orange orb grabbed a spear, the bird-like one grabbed a hammer, and the egg with cat ears in a robe made a magic circle-like thing. The ninja followed suit, each charging up their elemental powers,

Marinette faced the group of strangers who had fallen through the portals, “Why didn’t that work?” She muttered, “The ladybugs always work to fix things!”
“I don’t know,” The green ninja sighed, Marinette couldn’t tell what he was thinking, due to the hood covering his face, “We don’t know how any of this works, or even what’s going on.”
“Should we maybe introduce ourselves?” Chat asked, “maybe not by our civilian names, since at least you ninja people are heroes of some kind.”
“We should!” The pink ball said happily, whether it was genuine excitement or faked, she couldn’t tell.
“If Ladybug and Chat aren’t going to tell us their actual names there's no way we’re going to trust you guys with ours,” the ninja dressed in black said, leaning against an alley wall.
“Should we go first?” The purple orb in a mask asked.
The same beeping sound that was heard earlier interrupted the conversation, “that’s my time limit, and I’m sure Ladybug’s is also about to run out, how about we continue this later?” Chat said.
“See you then I assume!” The orange one said, fiddling with a small ribbon near their spear’s spearhead.
Marinette nodded, “Goodbye!” She said to the group, before zipping away.
