Summary
They say the three Fates know everything that will happen. The stories say that prophecies are in accordance with the Fates' designs. The weaving of the strings of destiny. But... the Fates had not planned out the future, they were not all-knowing deities. So when they make a slight error when creating the yarn of Percy Jackson's life, they did not expect it to affect the rest of the strings he would connect with later in his expected string. Fate has been altered and Percy's journey and those that follow become very different from what the Fates expected. After all, the butterfly does exist and the strings that will weave in and out of Percy's life will be changed as well, even some new connections being formed. Perhaps it is for the best, perhaps not. The Fates can not change what has already been done and must continue weaving along the path that Percy will now follow, be it better or worse than his original destiny.
