St. Patrick's Day
Made for Multiamory March 2022 & also for femslash-friday-prompts 18th March prompt.
When Teyla asks Kate about the origin of Elizabeth’s surname she assumes her family was Scottish, but then Elizabeth makes a comment about the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day celebration that makes Kate second guess that. After a few careful questions, they find out Elizabeth’s family emigrated to Ireland quite a few generations ago and she’s quite looking forward to the celebration, leading to both Kate and Teyla brushing up on the Earth customs in question and conspiring to make them the best they can be for her.
There’s already a amber-green ale being brewed but Teyla helps the botanists identify a Pegasus native plant that’s as close to four leaf clover as they can get for part of the decorations. They can’t quite replicate what it would be like on Earth, but Kate finds out one expedition member brought a dart board as their personal item and she knows Elizabeth will enjoy the friendly competition of a dart championship where she can let her hair down and just be one of many for the night.
