Chapter Text
Light shone through the thin curtains, the sound of wind rustling the leaves and a tweeting bird waking him up from his slumber.
Jude shifted to move onto his side, hitting something- someone. A six foot boy, dark hair fallen in his eyes, his mouth quirked into a subconscious smile. Oh my god, Jonesy was in his bed. How did this happen? At least they were both clothed.
He tried to go back to sleep, but he couldn't. Not now when he knew, for whatever reason, his best friend was in bed with him. They were close and normally they shared each other's beds if they slept over, but something felt strange about this. Something that made Jude's heart beat so loudly he could hear it in his ears.
Now laying on his back, Jude tried to relax. He really should go back to sleep. A long arm stretched across, coiling around his waist, completely throwing him off. Jude felt like he was short-circuiting. Cautiously, he glanced at the boy next to him- he was still asleep. He breathed out, blowing up some of his hair.
"Quit blowing your morning breath." Jonesy mumbled, most of his words coming out in slurs.
"Dude! I- uh didn't know you were awake." He shifted uncomfortably, trying to wriggle away. Better to do it first before Jonesy did. But Jonesy didn't let go. He only pulled Jude closer, resting his head against his chest.
"Don't move. But don't tell anyone about this."
A blush emerged on Jude's face. "'Kay, I won't." he managed to say.
There was a pause before he continued, "It's cold, okay?"
Deep down, Jonesy didn't really believe that.
