"Flowers for Montgomery Gator!"

Summary:

When rumors that the hanahaki disease has claimed another love struck fool from the Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex, nobody questioned why their most aggressive and short tempered anthropomorphic alligator animatronic kept displaying various types of flowers inside his green room. Well, except for Montgomery Gator himself.

Notes:

This is my first fanfiction yet and just so y'all know, the animatronics are anthropomorphic cyborgs or sum shit. Also not beta read so there may be some errors I overlooked and I apologize for that. I still haven't figured out the flow but I do have an ending in mind....i think. Anyway, ENJOYYYY!!

P. S. Chapters are very short because school and I'm lazy so I cut one chapter into two lmaooo

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Droplets of water slid down the mirror as (y/n) dried her face with a towel. She stared at the reflection in front of her with empty (e/c) eyes and pale complexion, the flickering of the broken light bulb in the pizzaplex’s employee bathroom gave her a headache, opting to fix it later after hours since vanessa got herself a week of a much needed break. (Y/n) opened the faucet once again to wash away the blood from the sink and gathered the remaining bloodstained rose petals, grabbing a handful of tissues from the dispenser and wrapping them around it before throwing it in the trashcan. Luckily, there were no visible stains on her work clothes or else freddy might ask, and God forbid he finds out what’s happening. Shaking her head weakly to get rid of the worry, (y/n) made her way out of the door and into the kitchen inside the cafeteria. It didn’t take her long to realize that Chica was in one of her food rampage episodes again when she was greeted with a flying fazpizza takeout box the moment she opened the doors. It hit a bottle of hot sauce on the shelf before landing at her feet.

She let out a tired smile before calling out, “Chica! Darling, I thought I told you I’d make you all pizza tonight. Couldn’t you have waited just a little bit more?”

The sound of metal and cluttering stopped before she saw Chica shyly walking out of the corner, following her was a trail of crumbs and pieces of fries. Her optics were trained on the floor, afraid of making eye contact with their handler. “It was just an appetizer, (y/n). I thought I would be quick and clean it up before you and the others come..” The robotic but surprisingly human voice of Chica and her lame excuse made (y/n) smile. She waved the hybrid chicken to sit down on one of the chairs and rummaged through a cabinet for some wipes. They were placed there specifically for Chica and it was always used, unfortunately. Maybe she should try to pester the mechanics to tone down chica’s abnormal love for food and trash, but she knew that it was kind of what made Chica, well.. Chica. The hunger for leftover trash is still up for debate, though.

(Y/n) opened a brand new pack of strawberry scented wipes and carefully cleaned her beak then down to her feathered hands, slowly getting lost in her thoughts. Meanwhile, Chica began to notice their handler’s lethargic movements and the dark bags under her eyes. Her eyebrows furrowed wondering why she looked very exhausted, not like a few days ago when (y/n) was full of energy and even indulged them by dancing with them at DJMM’s area in the pizzaplex. Did something happen while you were outside or had they overworked you too much? Chica suddenly felt guilty at the thought of it, much more so when she realized that (y/n) had basically been putting up with her eating in the trashcan every night, just like now yet she hadn’t complained about it once, unlike the other human staff and their old handlers would. (Y/n) does truly care for them all in just two months of becoming their caretaker, and Chica feared she would eventually get tired of them and their eccentric personalities, leaving them once again. Just like the others did.

The hybrid Chicken panicked and the silence between them made her more anxious, eliciting a loud squawk from her vocal chords. The sound jolted (y/n) out of her daydreaming before giving Chica a confused yet amused look.

“So-sorry! I… was just hungry for more pizza. My stomach was getting impatient. Hehe..” She rubbed the back of her neck in embarrassment until she realized what she said. “Oh! I didn’t mean to urge you like that! You should definitely take a rest more. You worked so hard for us and I should be the one to make the pizza!” White feathery hands waved in front of her as Chica grinned widely. (Y/n) stood up from her kneeling position and grabbed Chica by the hands. “I appreciate it, Chica. But I feel fine and I’m supposed to be the one taking care of you. Go sit down and wait for the others while I make the pizza.”

“NO! I can see how tired you are, sweetie. Just let me do this as a token of my appreciation, yeah?” Chica smiled softly at (y/n) but made sure to put more force in her words, giving the woman no choice but to nod hesitantly and place herself in one of the seats. The hybrid animatronic chicken immediately went to work and picked out all their favorite toppings. (Y/n) watched as Chica busied herself with the pizza and rubbed her hands on her face to look less tired.

It was still half an hour before midnight and the other band members should be arriving soon. Until then, she should do her job.

“Chica, how did your day go?”

The bird looked over her shoulder and shrugged, “Same ol’, same ol’. One kid did managed to start a food fight, but it was only me and Monty who were arranged in that party.”

She ignored the small thumps of her heart at the mention of his name, pathetic. (Y/n) glanced at Chica’s clean feathered and mechanical body. “Did you clean yourself? Maybe you missed a spot.”

“Oh no, not me. Vanessa did, just before she clocked out. She didn’t get to clean Monty, though. He kept snapping at her and smashed a cleaning bot as well.” (y/n) nodded at the information, “Don’t worry. I’ll make sure to get him washed up when I make my rounds.”

Just after she spoke, the double doors at the front opened and in came Freddy, Monty, and Roxanne. Their huge statures made the large kitchen seem cramped. Freddy was the first to spot (y/n) and waved a paw in greetings. The other two hybrid animatronics were left bickering amongst themselves as the bear sat in the empty seat next to their caretaker, his ears wiggling in joy as he bowed down to let her pat his furry head.

The warmth of the bear seeped into the palm of her hand, making her feel a bit better. Freddy lifted his head when the presence of her hand disappeared, suddenly coming face to face with a very haggard looking (y/n). He frowned deeply at her evading eyes, doing a subtle scan of her condition whilst she was calming down Roxanne. He was cut short soon after as Chica pushed two large pizzas between the two of them and another two to the other side of the table in front of Monty and Roxy. Chica then placed 2 more pizza for herself. The scent of the freshly made food distracted the bear, much to (y/n)’s pleasure. She knew dragging him into her problems would not end well for the both of them.

Freddy was always the nicest of the bunch, Chica coming in second. He became her first friend ever since she came to work in the plex, always at her side whenever she was lost and confused about her job, accompanying her whenever she felt overwhelmed and gave her all the comfort she needed and vice versa. (Y/n) can never imagine just how much pain it would put him through once he realized that she might pass away from this. Of course, she could always go for the other method to survive, surgery. An operation that would cause her to lose all these heartwarming feelings she had never felt before, leaving her with a healthy body but an empty heart.

As she glanced at the alligator in front of her, though. She knew deep inside that surgery will never become her choice, now or ever.

Freddy’s deep voice laced with concern immediately brought her back from her thoughts. “Superstar, are you feeling well? I sense that you have a lot on your mind at the moment. Do you have any problems that I can help with?”

His baby blue eyes stared straight into her as if he knew what was going on, what was going to happen to her, how this is all going to end, all the pain that you’re putting yourself through just for- “…. Superstar?”

This time everyone was looking at her now, making her want to run far away from their intense gazes. Roxanne pursed her lips(?) at the sight of (y/n) squirming in discomfort, but what alarmed her more was the faint smell of blood on her. Sure, bears were supposed to have a better sense of smell, but freddy was still recovering from a cold since last week and he couldn’t really smell dogshit right now.

“Was it that cleaning lady again? I swear she gets off from belittling and insulting every human and robot staff she comes across. Though, if you want we can surely get her fired in an instant.” Roxanne spoke while checking her nails out.

(Y/n) smirked slightly at her direction. “And on what basis will you get her fired for?” The wolf side-eyed her. “I definitely saw her feed Chica an unwashed sock that she wore the whole day. Probably two days ago.”

(Y/n)’s bemused look turned into shock as Chica’s face contorted into a grimace and held a feathered hand to her beak to stop herself from puking at the nasty memory. It was the first time she wished she never had taste buds. “She did what?! Why haven’t I heard about this? Chica?” (y/n) whisper-yelled. Chica avoided eye contact while the sound of her fans whirling became louder the longer she stayed silent. After a few more seconds it seemed that (y/n)’s glare was too intense enough for her to spill.

“She threatened to lock me in my room every night because I keep making a mess in the kitchen..” Chica whispered as low as she can, which wasn’t really quiet. “She doesn’t have the authority to do that, Chica.” (y/n) argued back with anger in her voice. “You’re an important” property “-star in the pizzaplex. You could’ve gotten her locked in a supplies closet if you wanted to and no one would say a word.” The Chicken pondered over her words before nodding giddily and rubbing her hands together as if she was hatching an evil scheme.

Freddy, on the other hand, grimaced at the thought of doing such a cruel thing to an employee. “Maybe you could just report her to management or give her a written note. I do not think locking her in the supplies closet would be good for her mental health nor would it improve her attitude towards Chica.” He tried to reason with the others but Monty slammed a fist on the table, leaving behind a noticeable crack on the surface. He ignored it and growled. “I’say ya shove a sock from da garbage can down ‘er throat!”

“What’d she ever do to your scaly ass?” Roxanne snickered behind her half eaten pizza. Monty glared at her in warning as he sat back down on the metal chair, screeching as it slid a few inches away from the table due to his weight.

“Nothin’ much. Jus’ wrecked mah room while we were on stage.”

“When did that happen?” The human asked with a heavy frown on her face. (e/c) eyes watching as the alligator scraped off a green pepper from between his sharp teeth with the tip of his even sharper nail.

“Once a week fo’ a month now I guess. Kep’ blamin’ me for ‘er own mess cuz der were no cameras in our rooms.”

(Y/n) let out an exhausted sigh as she massaged her temples, a throbbing headache emerging as she continued to think of all the repercussions and policies that stupid cleaning lady broke and how much paperwork she would be working with for nights straight. “And you’re only telling me this now? ” Her shoulders dropped as she slumped down on her seat. Freddy, God bless his soul, took it upon himself to give (y/n) a nice massage. Fluffy warm paws gently kneading her shoulder that was also big enough to reach the middle of her back. Monty shrugged, ruby red eyes lazily watched as freddy busied himself with trying to make the human relaxed. (y/n) decided not to comment any further and just leaned back to Freddy’s touch. The others also decided on just finishing their food, half of which was already eaten by Chica while they were in the middle of the conversation. Her eyes roamed between them and she let out a content sigh, feeling a little bit at peace.

“Cut!”

All of them sighed in relief. Freddy clapped his paws and gave a warm smile to his coworkers. “That went really well, everyone! I say we’re off to a good start.”

Roxanne nodded in agreement while Chica proceeded to finish the rest of the pizza that were left on the table. Monty raised a slice of pizza as a toast, “It was fine. I just don’t get why I have to do that accent, couldn’t it have been something easier?”

“It’s to make you more charming, idiot.” (y/n) snickered as she stood up to distribute the stock pizza slices to the film crew. They had more to spare in case they had to redo the scene and Chica had already eaten it all.

Freddy laughed along, “Every woman does like a man with a voice that makes her knees weak.” He leaned down to (y/n)’s face, “Like mine.” He smirked at her with lidded eyes. Her whole face burned and she pushed his face away from hers, letting out an embarrassed chuckle.

A piece of pepperoni flew and hit freddy on the forehead. “Hey! Hey! Hey! She’s supposed to be my love interest, remember?” Monty gave freddy a pointed look. Freddy rolled his eyes in amusement.

“Aight, enough chitchat. Get ready for the next chapter. Everyone back to your places!”

“Aye, aye, director!”
