Work Text:
No one at UA university knew that you, Y/N L/N, were actually Y/N Aizawa. Your father was a very secretive man, and you were born out of wedlock. Even at your early twenties, he still preferred to keep you the dirty secret brushed underneath the bed, and you were relatively indifferent to his decision. One of his reasonings for this was simply that he wished the best for you, and under his guidance at UA university, you would be the best hero you could be. Adorned in the quirk and looks of your mother's side, suspicions were low.
Your father was also a kind man, and though you could not blame him as such. When he would do a little extra training on your side of the university dorms, you would simply find somewhere else to be. After all, everyone believed that you were living somewhere in class 1-A's dorms, no one was ever surprised to see you walking about.
"Y/N," you could hear your father call out, "you have to hurry up."
You let out an unamused sigh as you quickly dried off, getting dressed in your normal attire. "I am, Dad, don't worry!" You called back as you moved to put your boots on. Hair still damp from the shower, you grimaced as you glanced in the mirror. Though you understood his reasoning, and understood specifically why he rathered you living in the teacher's dormitories, you just wanted to stay back and study today. Walking out to the kitchen as you grabbed an apple, y/e/c orbs glanced over to your exhausted father. "Who are you working with today?"
Your father was bundled in his yellow sleeping bag, clearly not having the day's energy either. With tired onyx orbs, he glanced back over to you, before unzipping himself from his sleeping bag. "One of the general studies students," he said absently, adjusting himself and placing away the sleeping bag. Where he ever put it, after nearly twenty years, you were still baffled. "Hitoshi Shinso."
"Purple hair, brainwashing quirk?" You asked, recalling the male's face to mind as you grabbed a cup, filling it with coffee. Receiving a tired nod, you allowed your lips to curl into your own exhausted smile. "Well, have fun, Dad."
As you were about to bolt, your father walked over to you. "Wait, Y/N," he said in his tired monotone, onyx eyes looming at you. Before you knew it, your father had pulled you into an awkward hug, successfully avoiding the hand that you held your coffee cup with. "Love you. Be safe."
You chuckled as you used your free hand to hug your father back. "Love you, too," you said in a gentle tone. "And I'm probably going to stick to some training in the forest today. Maybe I'll ask someone to spar with me."
Both of your faces paled as you heard a knock sounding outside of the small teacher dormitory you lived in. The sudden sound caused the two of you to quickly separate, you nearly spilling your coffee in the process. "You're training with me today, apparently," he said barely above a whisper.
You chuckled awkwardly, saying relatively loudly, "Well it sounds like my spar partner's here, eh, Aizawa-Senpai?"
"Good cover," he whispered with a soft smile tugging at his features, "I'm not sharing the coffee, though, so drink yours quick."
You wasted no time gulping your morning caffeine, placing your cup upside down in the drying rack before your father even opened the door. Grabbing your bag, you made it seem like you had gotten to the dorm and were simply waiting on the other student to arrive before the three of you would be off to training. Striding quickly to your father's side, you were greeted by a lavender gaze.
"Alright, now that you two are both here, come on," your father said, wasting no time to push you out of the door of the dormitory.
You could feel a touch of blush rising in your cheeks as you studied the general studies student, though your lips directed downward as you noticed him glance away, almost ashamed. Though you had not really met the man personally, you knew a little bit about him from Midoriya and Ojiro.
"Alright, you both should understand the first exercise that you'll be doing will be without utilizing quirks," your father cut in, glancing between the two of you as the three of you walked out to the forest area. "I want to see your combat skills."
"Understood," he said, his lavender eyes flickering back over to your father. "I thought this would be a one on one."
"I mean," you cut in, your voice suddenly sheepish as you spoke. "If you prefer not to spar with me, Hitoshi-San, I understand." Your voice was a little awkward as you tried to think of why your father would double book training for a cover story. "I was really persistent, especially when I found out that Aizawa-Senpai was training you today." Mentally, you slapped yourself at your words. Now it sounds like I'm a creep with a crush, you thought to yourself in melancholy. He is handsome, though.
"Oh," he replied, his voice somewhat shocked at your words, and it just made more blush rise against your cheeks in pure embarrassment. "No, it's fine. It was nothing against you. What was your name?"
Y/e/c orbs wouldn't even meet his lavender ones as the three of you walked, too much embarrassment from your previous comment and the strange impression you likely left. "L/N Y/N," you replied softly. "I thought your spirit was inspiring back at the sports festival."
"You're in class 1-A?" He questioned.
You simply nodded, relief washing over you as you realized the three of you were stopping. Y/e/c eyes flickered to your father as you raised a questioning eyebrow, urging for him to speak before you got dragged into more uncomfortable conversing. Thankfully, you watched as your father motioned to the two of you.
"If either of you use your quirks in this first match, I'll be ending the match," he said, glancing between the two of you. "The first person to pin the other down will be victorious."
The first match was incredibly difficult without using your quirk, though you managed to work through it. After all, there was no way that you were allowing this general studies student to surpass you. Shinso managed to trip you twice throughout the match, but you rolled out of the way before he could pin you. You on the other hand, threw him over your shoulder before climbing on top of him, restraining both of his hands.
As the two of you had the second match, you were still unable to use quirks for it. Knowing Shinso's quirk, you could understand why your father did not want quirks involved in the initial combat. His quirk was not truly combat based, and you knew you would have to specifically answer him for his quirk to work.
He surprised you in the second round, managing to flip you the same way that you had flipped him prior. Landing upon the ground with a thud, you were slow to move, finding yourself pinned underneath the lavender eyed male. For a moment as you stared up into his soft eyes, you found yourself blushing.
"You let your guard down," he whispered, a smirk making its way to his face as he freed you from his grip.
You took a second to recompose yourself before your father started the third match. As you fought him, you found your mind wandering, flashing that moment in your head as if you were living it again. Something about that almost sultry tone of his voice, those lavender eyes boring into you, made your heart flutter.
Five matches was what it took for the two of you to tire, each match lengthening in time as the two of you understood one another's fighting style more and more. Your father watched exhaustedly from the sidelines, a smirk against his lips as he watched the lavender haired male improving the more that he fought against you. Between you and Shinso, you were nearly even with pins, you having just one higher than Shinso.
"Now," your father said, causing both of your panting attentions to turn to his dull onyx orbs. "Which one of you would like to face me first?"
"I'd like to watch you two," you said, a smirk against your lips, "if you're fine with that, Hitoshi-San."
"Yeah," he said as he caught his breath, glancing over to you with the slightest touch of blush against his face. "And just call me Shinso."
Hours passed as the three of you were training. You were not even sure at what point night came, nor why your father was working so hard with a general studies student. It was not something you were in a sense complaining about, though you did find yourself wanting to catch the lavender eyed male for a little one on one time. The three of you had done just about every combination of combat that you could do comfortably in the forest. Quirkless sparring, quirk sparring...you even offered to be a puppet for a couple of matches. Though you were not entirely sure how that match turned out, your father seemed rather pleased in Shinso's control.
Exhausted, you leaned against one of the trees as you watched the two spar off one last time. No matter your tired state, you could still see the way that his lavender hair shimmered in the dying light, as well as that determined look in lavender orbs. It was entrancing, and you found yourself watching each and every movement the handsome male performed against your father.
The point that you managed to fall out of your hyper fixation of the handsome man's features was the exact same point that the violet locked male strode towards you, clearing his throat with a smirk against his features. He had apparently already thanked your father for the sparring, and though your father was reluctant to allow you to wander off alone with the violet haired male, he could not think of a logical way to speak out against it. After all, the two of you were no longer teens, and any sort of strange concern would raise suspicion.
"You get lost in my eyes, Y/N-Kun?" He teased as his lavender orbs flickered down to you. "Or did I really wear you out that much?"
Flustered, your y/e/c orbs glanced downward as your lips parted to refute his claims. Falling short with a nervous chuckle, you finally said sarcastically, pushing your lips upwards into your own smirk, "You caught me, Shinso-Kun. You're rather distracting."
"I hear sarcasm," he started, though his smirk hadn't faded, "but your body language speaks otherwise. I must admit, you're cute when you're flustered."
“I-,” you started, blush rising in your cheeks as you turned your gaze away from him. The two of you had been walking in the moonlight towards the general studies dorms, though most students had already been back in their respectable dorms by now. Chuckling softly, you forced your words from your lips. “I really enjoyed training with you, Shinso-Kun. We should do that again sometime.”
It hadn’t taken long to make it to the dorms themselves, and you still wondered exactly how you would stealth yourself back to the teacher dorms afterwards. You still hadn’t met his lavender gaze once more, your nerves getting the better of you. Most of the walk had been silent after your words, a simple ‘sure’ escaping his pouted lips in reply to your suggestion.
Once the two of you stopped in front of the dorms, though, Shinso placed a gentle hand against your shoulder. “Don’t be a stranger,” he said warmly, his lips curling upwards as he caught your gaze. “I’d like to see you again soon.”
“Of course,” you replied softly, cursing yourself for a slight stutter that made its way into your words. Warmly, you pushed yourself to your tiptoes and placed a gentle, chaste kiss against his cheek, reveling in the moment that his cheeks turned crimson. “You’re cute when you’re flustered, too.”
Shinso allowed a chuckle to escape his lips as he rolled his lavender eyes at your words. “How couldn’t I be when you missed?” he said with an eyebrow raised, his lips turning to almost a cocky smirk as he did. Before you had the chance to retort, he stole your lips in a short, yet sweet kiss. Once the two of you separated, his lips flashed a smile as he continued. “Maybe next time I can see you as my girlfriend?”
“I’m sure that can be arranged,” you stuttered out in reply, watching as the male moved to say goodnight to you, walking into the dorms before you. You had been left, moving your hand to press gently against your lips as crimson rose in your cheeks once more. Giggling to yourself, you took your time making your way back to the teacher’s dorms.
Closing the door carefully behind you, you crept towards your room, only to hear a throat clearing behind you. Glancing y/e/c orbs back, your eyes landed upon your father’s questioning gaze, though amusement shone in his eyes. “Did you have fun?” he questioned, more teasingly than anything.
“Yeah,” you said fondly, a smile stretching across your face. “Shinso really seems to have potential.”
Your father rolled his eyes, before motioning to the counter. “I can’t believe I introduced you to your boyfriend,” he murmured, before a laugh escaped his lips. “Let’s eat. It’s getting late.”
