It was truly a beautiful day outside. Cardinals were singing, pine needles were growing. On Saturdays like these, people should be relaxing. Some people were shovelling their driveways, others were having snowball fights with their friends. There was one woman who was walking through the snow-covered grass. The tiny flakes were stuck in her inky black hair, like stars in the night sky. The trees' barren limbs were dusted with small amounts of the fluffy white stuff. Large clumps of snow fell from the evergreen trees, creating a powdery explosion every once in a while. One of those powdery explosions happened on her head, hiding her in a cloud of white. Today was a good day to swing by the coffee shop to get a hot macchiato. Preferably right now. Preferably with a fresh scallion roll by its side, because the explosion from a couple of minutes ago had left her shivering.
