“Then what if we mixed both balloons AND confetti?!” Tsukasa exclaimed as if he wanted the entire world to hear him.
“That doesn’t seem like a bad idea but maybe don’t yell out loud unless you want us to get kicked out,” Rui chuckled to himself. The two of them were currently on a date at a small cafe Tsukasa had spent hours talking about whilst also talking about plans and arrangements for an upcoming show over drinks. Tsukasa had ordered a vanilla milkshake and Rui on the other hand kept it simple and ordered an iced tea. They had just almost finished their drinks and it was also starting to get late which meant that the cafe was going to close soon.
“We should probably get going before the cafe closes,” Rui stated. “And also before you annoy everyone in the cafe,” he then mumbles slightly giggling.
“I heard that!” This response only had Rui giggling even harder.
After paying for their drinks and apologising for Tsukasa’s outburst they headed out of the cafe. Turns out a lot more time went by than the both of them thought as the sky was slowly about to get dark and hit night time, resulting in a saturated dark blue covering the sky.
“Looks like it’s about to get dark pretty soon,” Rui thought to himself out loud.
“Lucky I came prepared!” Tsukasa said whilst eyeing Rui.
“Prepared?” It didn’t take Tsukasa long to start violently stomping up and down on the footpath and flickers of multi coloured lights to appear. He then stopped his stomping to look at his shoes and then back at Rui.
“So what do you think?”
“Are those…are those light up sketchers??”
“Yep! You could say they’re a prized possession of mine.” Rui wasn’t sure whether he should be concerned or laughing. It isn’t everyday you see someone casually walking in light up sketchers above the age of 12.
“You really are always full of surprises.” Rui replied with a small smirk and then pulled Tsukasa closer to him and kissed his cheek. Even though it was slightly dark outside Rui could still see the small amounts of blush that covered Tsukasa’s face.
“Come on, let’s head back to my place before to gets dark. You can stay the night if you want.”
“Alright, I’ll let my sketches light up the way!” The shorter male beamed. Tsukasa’s energy and remarks didn’t hesitate to put a small smile on Rui’s face no matter the situation. The two of them then went and walked back to Rui’s house with the director from time to time glancing at Tsukasa’s lighting up sketchers and a small smile appearing on his face.
