Summary
It was no secret how dangerous humans could be. Beneath the ocean depths, merfolk traded story after story of the horrors witnessed and experienced by those land dwellers. From anecdotes shared between old friends to cautionary tales told to the youth, there was no shortage of reasons to stay far away from the land those monsters called home.
Athena knew this just as well as everyone else. And she knows if the humans didn't kill her for this, her mother certainly would.
But, a little peek couldn't possibly hurt, right?

When Leonardo wanted to be the princess from the boy's favorite fairytale, his family gave him no trouble for it.
When Mikey and Leo both decided that skirts were super nice, their siblings simply agreed that they were very pretty in them.
When they both wanted to wear makeup like their human sister, April gladly showed them the ropes before gifting them each their own palettes and brushes.
Leo knew his family loved him unconditionally, and wearing fabric around his waist or powder and paint on his face would never change that. No matter what, he was, and would always be, a Hamato.
But when a seemingly normal interaction in the Hidden City leaves him confused, he starts questioning the way he's always viewed himself. And what Leo discovers runs so much deeper than skirts and makeup.
Her family will still love her all the same, right?

Summary
I'm 16 and am currently in high school. So obviously, I've had to write some things for my classes- essays, short stories, stuff like that. Since I rarely ever finish and post any of my personal fanfic projects, I figured I'd post some of these school assignments for you all to see. Both as a way of getting more use other than an A out of them, and to maybe post slightly more often than once a full moon.
These aren't beta-read, and they might be bad, but maybe you all will find some enjoyment in reading the stuff I wrote in the name of education.

Summary
For sixteen long-ass years, I have believed that I was the sole surviving creation from one of Draxum’s greatest failed experiments. At least, that’s what Pops had always told me.
Now color me surprised, when I found out that there are three other turtle mutants and they have lived in the upper human city, all this time.
This revelation is just the beginning of my story. It’s one full of chaos, explosions, existential dread, pizza, parental issues, drinks, double-triple betrayals, and generally bad life choices that make me question where I fit into this world. Maybe there’s a great destiny waiting for me out there or maybe I'll get myself killed while I’m still figuring it all out. At least, it seems that I’ve found a new place I can call home and that counts for something...right?

I stopped keeping up with this fic like, forever ago, I think around when I started losing interest in this fandom. I'm still not really in this fandom, but I finally decided to reread it, since I remember really liking this fic. Plus I left multiple long comments on a few different chapters, so like, it's gotta be good lol.
I'm a little intimidated to start reading it again, since it's been so long and I have to start from the beginning since I don't remember what chapter I was on, but I'm also very excited, and I can't wait to see what I missed.

Baron Draxum at some point started to see the turtles less as rogue creations turned allies, and more as children he did in fact play a significant part in creating. Trying to form bonds with them and be in their lives is a bit complicated with their history however. Plus, he has one hell of a co-parenting situation to navigate if he wants to try.

Four times Baron Draxum managed to be a good father to the boys, plus once when he was a pretty decent co-parent to Splinter.
