Work Text:
Julia loved cooking with Lana. She wasn't sure why exactly. Maybe it was because everything they cooked smelled so good, maybe it was because she just loved spending time with her, or maybe-
„Julia stop eating the chocolate chips they're supposed to be for the cookies!” Lana said breaking her out of her thoughts,
„Sorry... but you know how good they are.” Julia replied, „Besides no one will notice if there's slightly less...” She reached for more chocolate chips
„Julia, please... „ Lana said. „There will be more cookies if you don't eat them.”
„Hmm... Alright.” Julia said „The „more cookies” argument convinced me.”
„Alright then. Can you pass me the flour?” Lana said.
„Oh sure,” Julia replied „Here you go.”
And so they continued making the dough. First mixing up the dry ingredients then adding the rest of them. After the dough was mixed up Julia took some of it and ate it when she thought Lana wasn't looking.
„You know you could get sick if you eat raw dough like that, right?” Lana said.
„Really? But it's really good...” Julia said.
„Yes, it has raw eggs in it which...” Julia listened to Lana talk about the many reasons why you shouldn't eat raw eggs even if she didn't understand a word of it. That's just how dating someone who was planning to study medicine was. In the meantime, Lana put the dough in the fridge.
„So what now?” Julia asked
„Now we wait for a bit.” Lana replied „Do you want some cocoa? We should have some powder for it somewhere around here. You could search for it while I boil the milk.”
„I'd love some cocoa!” Julia exclaimed and immediately started searching for it. She found it in one of the cupboards although she had trouble reaching it.
And when the cocoa was ready they took their cups and moved to the living room where it was warmer and sat down on the couch,
„Do you think the cookies will end up being good?” Julia asked
„I'm sure they will be,” Lana said.
