Summary
But as suddenly as the winds appeared, so too did they disappear. Ced slowly opened his eyes, as the last of the pain and pressure dissipated, only to realize that he was kneeling on the floor, clutching the Forseti tome to his chest in a death grip. Strangely enough, not a single item in the throne room seemed to be disturbed. The pedestal was still standing upright, and the glass display was exactly where Ced had placed it on the floor, mere minutes ago.
In fact, it didn’t even seem like a single speck of dust had moved, despite the howling gale just moments prior.

Summary
Faith was always one thing that eluded her. She just couldn’t understand the idea of putting your trust completely into something that may or may not work out. Simply put, Tailtiu was a girl of action. Though she considered herself to be a rather simple person, when she wanted something to get done, she always got it done. She never sat around, idly, just wishing things would take care of themselves for her...
So when ever-pious, ever-faithful Father Claud approached her with the idea of setting off all by himself to the Tower of Bragi in order to confront the truth about the turmoil brewing within Grannvale’s borders, she almost scoffed.
“Father Claud, you’re gonna need a bit more than your supreme faith to get there in one piece!”
And thus began a journey that would change Tailtiu's life forever.

Summary
Dainix jackknifed up to sitting, his heart slamming against his ribs, frantically sucking air in. His hands shook. His stomach churned, nauseated. Soulfire coursed through his veins and traced coal-hot patterns on his skin.
There was no sludge in sight, no water, nothing attacking. Air was moving through his lungs even if it didn't feel like enough. And while his heartbeat was too fast, it was strong.
Panic attack, Dainix told himself firmly. Just a panic attack.
Or: Dainix contends with a series of panic attacks, triggered by both old and new fears. Luckily, the Floof Squad has his back.

Dainix first wielded a knife when he was seven.
"Be careful," said his dad seriously. "It's very, very sharp, which is good for control, but it can slice your fingers as easily as it can slice those vegetables. Understand?"
Dainix nodded solemnly. His fingers, so much smaller than his dad's, curled around the handle of a gleaming chopping knife.
