Pulling out tray of chocolate chip cookies, Quackity placed it down on the top of the oven. He pulled the mittens off and wiped his brow. Turning back to the counter behind him, he finished shaping the cake before grabbing the frosting and strawberries and beginning to decorate.
He needed to get this done quick. Sapnap and Karl don't know that he likes to bake and he would like to keep it that way. If he finishes decorating the cake and packs the cookies, maybe he can make it seem like Niki made them. He could pretend he ordered them from her. Maybe even Bad since he also bakes sometimes.
Making cute little swirls with the baby pink frosting, he finished the cake up by placing the sliced strawberries in heart shapes before placing it in a cake box. He pulled out a plate and started piling the cookies onto it.
He then started to clean up all the spilled flour and sugar. Humming to himself, relaxed until he heard the door open making him freeze.
"Quackity! We're home!"
He stood in place, unable to move as his fiances walked in.
"You....You're back early!" He said, forcing a smile and trying to discreetly take off his apron. He watched Sapnap place their things down while Karl put away their weapons.
"Yeah, We decided stop practice early. Especially after Dream hurt his shoulder messing around with Karl." Sapnap laughed.
"It was not my fault." Karl whined, hugging Sapnap from behind and nuzzling into his neck. "Everyone knows I hate surprise attacks and Dream is no exception."
Sapnap rolled his eyes, catching Quackity's gaze and sending him a little wink making him blush a bit. Quackity saw the exact moment Sapnap noticed the apron and the flour. He straightened and walked over with Karl, looking at the mess of flour that was in the process of being cleaned along with the plate of cookies.
"Q, did you bake these?" He asked. Quackity quickly shook his head, avoiding his fiance's gazes.
"Then where did the cookies come from?" Karl asked. "And why is there flour and sugar all over the counters?"
Quackity slowly started turning red, embarrassed about being caught.
"I um...I ordered them from Niki?" He tried, giving up when Karl just giggled.
"Silly duckling," He cooed. "Niki was with us today. Try again."
Quackity kept his mouth shut and started to pout, crossing his arms even as he blushed more.
"You're not gonna try blaming Bad?" Sapnap joined in on the teasing. He came up from behind and hugged Quackity, efficiently trapping him between the two. He grinned when Quackity shook his head and hid in Karl's shoulder. "Aww, is our little duckling embarrassed because he got caught baking?"
The tips of Quackity's ears were red as he nodded earning a small coo from Sapnap and another giggle from Karl.
"And why are you so embarrassed?" Karl asked, nudging Quackity's face from his shoulder. "C'mon, tell us."
Quackity kept his mouth shut for a while, only breaking when Sapnap started pressing light kisses against his neck.
"Because I wanted it to be secret." He mumbled.
"Keep your baking a secret?" Sapnap asked, pausing in his kisses when Quackity nodded. "Why?"
"Because...Because I liked leaving little treats for you guys...Without you knowing it was me." He confessed, hiding again in Karl.
"Oh. My. Fucking. God." Karl gasped. "That is so fucking cute!"
"No, it's not!" Quackity whined, gently slapping Karl's arm. "Shut up."
"It literally is. It's the cutest fucking thing I've ever heard someone say in literally forever."
"Shut up."
"It's true! Sapnap, tell him it's true." Karl pouted, looking up at Sapnap.
"It is pretty cute." He hummed, enjoying the way Quackity glared at them and started trying to squirm his way out of their arms.
"Let me go!" Quackity groaned. "You guys are the absolute worst. I am not cute. You guys are just stupid." He squirmed some more, insulting them in any way possible before giving up with a loud huff.
"Tired?" Sapnap asked, softening when he nodded.
"Then let's go to the room and cuddle." Karl said, already dragging the two away.
"But I need to clean the rest of the flour and sugar." Quackity complained but didn't try to pull out of Karl's grip.
"We can do that later." Karl said. "I need to cuddle the most adorable man in the world. Sapnap too I guess."
"Hey!" Sapnap whined.
"I'm just teasing sweetheart." Karl giggled. "Cuddles. Now."
Quackity groaned but collapsed on the bed with the other two, letting Karl worm his way in between the two of them before reaching back and unclasping the harness on his back.
His wings sprung free, flapping a few times before he stretched them out with a happy groan. Karl watched in fascination as he did so. He reached out after Quackity settled down and gently started stroking the feathers.
"They're so pretty." He mumbled. "Like a sunset."
"A sunset?" Quackity asked softly, shifting a few more times to get more comfortable.
"Mhm...A pretty sunset."
Quackity chuckled and carefully folded his wing over the three of them, forcing Sapnap to cuddle in closer.
"Well, you're pretty too." He said, pausing to think for a moment. "Pretty like...like those purple flowers I've seen around."
"Which ones?" Karl giggled. "There's so many."
"All of them. You're pretty like all of them." Quackity giggled with Karl, the two of them only stopping when Sapnap pawed at them.
"Shut up and sleep." He whined.
"Grumpy Sapnap." Karl teased, gently tapping his nose.
"It's not my fault. I'm tired and want to cuddle." He huffed.
Quackity smiled but didn't say anything as his own eyes started feeling tired. He watched Karl play with Sapnap's hair and his feathers, mesmerized by the beauty of his fiances. As he drifted off to sleep, a warmth washed over him making him feel more relaxed than he had in years. He hummed happily and snuggled closer to the other two, finding himself wishing that they could stay cuddled together for forever.
