Inuyasha Quarantine One-Shot

Summary:

I literally wrote half an Inuyasha one shot during the very beginning of quarantine and have for some reason decided it was a good idea to post it. Pretty much if I ever finish it, it will be Inuyasha learning technology so he can talk to Kagome over her quarantine.

Notes:

Okay so you probably read the description, if you didn't do it now (please). I currently do not plan on writing much more of it, but if it at all feels like something you might enjoy reading, let me know and I'll go ahead and at least finish the first chapter and probably write more if you want. Thanks for reading and I promise I'll be posting more exciting soon <3

Work Text:

Quarantine: The worst thing that can happen when you and your half dog demon love intrest live in different time periods.
Kagome found it to be extremely difficult to explain the concept of quarantine to an angry dog man, and Inuyasha found it even more difficult to understand. He didn’t understand that it wasn’t that she didn’t want to be with him or that she didn’t want to help find the rest of the shards of the sacred jewel. She really did want to be with him. She missed him. And she definitely wanted to find those jewel shards and put Naraku in his place. Why couldn’t he understand that she was doing this for everyone’s safety and well being. The feudal era already had enough problems as it was. A pandemic would make everything so much worse.
Kagome did want to stay in touch with Inuyasha, so they’d have to find a way. Quarantine wouldn’t last forever, right?
Kagome grabbed her yellow bookbag and filled it with snacks for Inuyasha and her other friends. She looked at her desk to make sure she didn’t leave anything behind and she noticed her old phone. That would be perfect! She grabbed it and an old portable charger and threw into her bag.
Kagome walked downstairs, through the kitchen and out the door to the old well.
“Inuyasha can’t still be mad at me,” Kagome told herself. She pushed back her concern and jumped into the bottom of the well.

Inuyasha paced back and forth by the well with loud footsteps. He was awaiting Kagome’s arrival, because she told him that he couldn’t come to her era. She said that there was an evil demon that went by the name CoronaVirus. He thought it was a stupid name, but since she was obviously to weak to handle it he volunteered to kill it for her. And she said no! Who did she think she was? She said she couldn't get rid of it by herself so he kindly offered to help slay the vile creature. What an ungrateful woman. The half demon decided to let it go. He would see her soon enough.
The well's soft glow gained Inuyasha’s attention and ceased his pacing.
“Kagome!” he shouted.
“Oh! Inuyasha you're here. Could you help me with my bag?” she requested.
Inuyasha stepped closer into the well and looked down at Kagome. She lifted her bag up towards him.
“Are you gonna help me or not?”
“Fine” He said as he jumped down to the bottom of the well. He grabbed her bag and was shocked at the weight of the bag. Of course he could lift it, but it was still unnecessarily heavy.
“Dang Kagome, did you pack your whole house?”
“Haha. Very funny, Inuyasha.” She remarked dryly as she climbed up from the well. By the time she was at the top he had set the bag down and lent her a clawed hand.
The two walked away from the well together to sit under a nearby tree. Kagome spread out a blue and white picnic blanket and gestured for him to sit down. He was glad she remembered not to say the word ‘sit’. Inuyasha plopped onto the blanket, being careful not to sit too close to the girl.
Kagome sighed. Inuyasha looked up while making brief eye contact. His stare moved to her bag.
“I thought you said you were staying in your era-”
She cut him off, “I did say that, but I also told you that I wanted to bring you guys a few things…”
Inuyasha shot her glare. She rolled her eyes.
“Well, what did you bring?
