Work Text:
Ayato has always been a busy man, rarely taking time off work to go relax himself once in a while, but when he does, he doesn't his eyes off his boyfriend, Arataki Itto.
It was late at night, and Ayato was working on documents as usual in his office, while Itto was at their shared bedroom. Ayato knew Itto didn't like it when he had to work late at night, as it means they'll have less time to spend with eachother, so he tried to work as fast as he can.
Finally, the last paperwork is done. I hope I didn't get Itto waiting too late. Ayato quickly puts the paper in a neat stack, while opening the door as quietly as possible, incase he woke up Itto if he was already asleep.
He enters their cold but comfortable bedroom, greeted by an Itto, who immediately looked at his boyfriend with a happy look on his face as if it wasn't 12 in the night.
Ayato sits on the bed beside Itto, "Hello, my dear, aren't you tired?"
"Definitely not now, seeing you've finished your work and I don't have to go to bed without you!" Itto says as he jumps on Ayato's back to cuddle him.
Ayato turns around and cups Itto's cheeks. "You shouldn't force yourself to be awake to see me Itto. You know whether or not if I finish work later, you'd still meet me in the morning, right darling?"
Itto scoffs as he puts his head on Ayato's shoulder, "Well, yeah but I only get to see you for an hour before you leave again. And that makes me sad." he says as he does puppy eyes to Ayato to make him somehow stay another hour in the morning.
Ayato sighs and kisses Itto's temple as a way to comfort him, "When do you have free time, Ayato?" he looks up at him, "I wanna take you out somewhere."
Ayato doesn't reply for a few seconds to think before replying, "I do have less work on Sunday. Would that be good enough?"
Itto's eyes widen, "Yes! that would be perfect. I have to tell Kuki abou-" he stops before ruining the suprise he has for the Kamisato sibling.
Ayato looks at him with a confused look, "About what?" he curiously asks.
"N- nothing! Don't worry about it, it's a suprise Ayato!" he says in a panic, not wanting to spoil the suprise.
"Alright then, my dear." Ayato gives a glance at the clock, seeing what time it is, "We should go sleep, then."
"Oh, right, you still have to get up early." before Ayato can get into a sleeping position, Itto suddenly asks, "Can I be the big spoon tonight?"
Ayato chuckles at the younger's request, "Sure, why not."
Itto lifts his arms in the air as a way of saying 'yay', and stands up to turn off the lights, and cuddles Ayato while they sleep peacefully.
