Summary
For as often as "I love you" was tossed around in the heat of the moment, it was strictly off limits at any other time. Too weighty. Too sacred, for what they had. A phrase for lovers, for soulmates, not for business partners who helped each other blow off some steam on the side.
But now, the business and pleasure were all mixed together — impossible to untangle without cutting through it entirely — and something new had bloomed, fragile and hopeful.
The first time Tenna and Spamton realized they were in love with each other, and the first time they acknowledged it.

Spamton is no stranger to the fact that Tenna is the dictionary definition of a hopeless romantic. Sappy love stories and cheesy chick flicks were revered, and Valentines was easily in the CRT’s top five holidays. Not number one of course, he wasn’t sure anything could dethrone Christmas in Tenna’s eyes.
But despite all that, apparently, Tenna had never been kissed. Never been on a date, much less been in a relationship. And a little voice in the back of Spamton’s head, was cheering him on to change that.
