The heist is getting more intense.
The royal mint of Spain filled with fear.
The money maker machine still keeps running all day and night.
Radio statics come up from time to time.
But in the middle of this night, in the room in which Berlin stayed. All chaos went silent…
He was sitting with his feet up on the table, looking out of the window. The armchair swayed slowly, left and right. Staring at nothing,
In a split second, Berlin saw his face. His dear friend, Martín Berrote. A genius. A brilliant engineer.
“Martínnn…” he whispered like he always does when he called his name. Ariadna sitting in the corner full of fear, looking at him.
Slowly, Andrés revealed his soft smile, eyelids closed, threw his head backward and laughed, softly.
Thinking about those days they have spent together at the monastery. Plotting and planning the most glorious heist ever. The heist of his dream. Martín was always with him. Inseparable.
Martín always was the one who put a smile on his face, because of his childish dance and colourful clothes. Oh.. those bowties. So pretty.
Or the reactions when he finally resolved the equation. So lively.
‘Seems like we never set a boundary on skinship.’ he remembered..
Martín’s soft delicate skin, Andrés remembering the touch he received from Martín. When they hugged or held on his shoulders. He wanted to feel it again, the shiver that he felt from Martín touches. Electrified.
Sweet musky scent with a hint of citrus from the perfume he used. Martín always smelled good, even when he was sweating. So intriguing.
Martín’s eyes. They are so blue, like the ocean. It’s so blue it seemed icy cold but he felt so at home when made contact with those beautiful eyes.
Those lips, soft sheer red puffy lips, that he already kissed. Not just once but twice.
And that’s the reason why it had been the last time he saw him at the monastery. Because of the kiss. The kiss that at first he felt nothing, but now feels so much about.
And he already left him broken and shattered…
A tear slowly coming down from the corner of his eye. One drop of his tear.
He missed Martín so much, his engineer, his best friend, his other half.
Regretting.
Thinking that he shouldn't have left him.
And now he wasn’t here…
In the mint, where his life is at risk, and don’t even know if he will survive so that he can get back to Martín.
“Berlin!!” Nairobi walked up and called him.
He threw away those memories, took himself back to the present and turned to her, “Ahhh.. Nairobi.”
That is when Martín's face faded away.
