It's Lando's first ever hunt as an Omega. He had been excited for his first hunt since he had presented not long ago and today was finally the day.
All the Alphas had gone off to hide while the Omegas had all gathered at the designated start line. Once the whistle blew everyone dispersed, either hunting down their mate or any Alpha they could find.
Lando takes off into the woods, excitement making him run hard and fast through the trees. This was exciting to the young Omega. He would finally prove himself and his new status.
Only….only there were rather a lot of scents around him.
Lando runs for a few more minutes and then slows down, turning around and around in circles in confusion. There were so many scents surrounding him. He blinks a little and tries to retrace his steps, but it doesn't help. His nose is overwhelmed with sensory information of the amount of Omegas and Alphas around him that he can't distinguish just one scent and follow it.
A whine escapes his throat and he looks around him, wanting an escape from all the information his nose is giving him. It's too much. He can't think.
Meanwhile Sebastian is hiding out not too far away when the scent of a distressed Omega fills his nose. He takes a peak round the rock he's hiding behind and sees Lando turning this way and that in worry. It's clear Lando's anxiety is building and he looks overwhelmed. It makes Sebastian whine a little. He couldn't leave the young Omega that distressed.
Glancing around him Sebastian slips out from behind the rock and casually moves towards Lando, who damn near jumps in fright when Sebastian's scent reaches him unexpectedly. There are unshed tears brimming in his eyes and he looks almost ashamed of himself. It tugs at Sebastian's heart and he gives the Omega a gentle smile.
"It's okay, Lando. It's all okay. You've caught me. Look." He holds out his hands to him and tilts his head in a sign of submission. "You did it! On your first go too!"
Lando looks around the clearing, a little hesitant before he moves over and gently pushes Sebastian's hands down. He's quick to move in close to him and starts to nuzzle his neck, making a happy purr as he focuses on Sebastian's scent to allow him to orient himself. Sebastian smelt good.
With a low soothing rumble, Sebastian holds the Omega close to him and lets him scent him to his heart's content. "There you go, Lando. You've got me." He whispers, all soft and gentle.
He privately thinks Lando's got him in more ways than this, but that's a conversation for another time. Right now he pulls back and lets Lando take his hand and proudly lead him back to the giant nest the Omegas had made together, his pride in his scent. It makes Sebastian feel warm.
Yes. His Omega had found him.
