Work Text:
"It looks like something's bothering you."
Gregory came out of the bathroom, a towel around his waist and drying his hair with another. Mycroft was sitting against the headboard looking straight ahead. Greg had noticed all evening that Mycroft seemed lost in thought from time to time.
Seeing that he wasn't answering, Greg insisted, "I don't even need Holmes super abilities to see that you're troubled. What are you thinking about?"
Mycroft shook his head but did not answer.
Greg put down his towel and went to join him. He sat beside him and, laying his hand on Mycroft's knee, asked again with a soft voice, "Tell me. What's wrong?"
Greg saw that Mycroft was staring at his hand on his knee before he began to speak in a surprisingly hesitant voice, "Uh... I guess I was just thinking..."
Greg moved his hand in a circular fashion over his knee, soothing him. Seeing his hesitation, which was so uncharacteristic of Mycroft, Greg waited patiently for him to continue.
"Actually, that's just it. I'm confused by how much I really like...uh how much my body responds to... when you're affectionate," he added, embarrassed by his admission. He shook his head again and continued, "This is ridiculous... You put your arms around me or just put your hand like this on my knee, and I want to melt at your touch, it's so pathetic. What's wrong with me?" he muttered to himself, in a deprecating tone.
"Oh Mycroft, don't be hard on yourself. There is nothing wrong with you.
In fact, I'm not surprised. I mean it makes sense to me. You don't necessarily seem like a very tactile person at first, not to mention that your work requires a certain distance. I would say that it's like your body is now asking for its due and I don't mind at all, I'm even happy to be the one giving it to you. I like the way you react. There's something beautiful about knowing that the attentions you have are so well received by the one you love." Greg took Mycroft's hand and kissed every knuckle of it.
He then made Mycroft slide between his legs, his back against his chest and passed gently his fingers in Mycroft's hair. His lover's reaction was almost immediate. He nearly purred as he leaned his head into Greg's hands.
Greg chuckled softly, "See? Just like that. I give and you receive with relish. It's perfect."
They remained like that in silence for a long moment, then Mycroft murmured softly, "I can't remember the last time I did this with someone... if I ever did. You can't imagine how overwhelmed I was the first time you held me. I wasn't ready for that flood of emotion, just the fact that our bodies were touching so intimately."
Greg's hands froze slightly on his scalp.
"Greg?"
Greg cleared his throat, "Um... actually I noticed it, but I figured if you wanted to talk about it, you would."
Greg tightened his arms around Mycroft and spun him around in his arms so that they were sitting face to face.
He asked softly, seeing the embarrassed look on Mycroft's face, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. But in that moment, I wondered how touch-deprived your body was if a simple hug made you react like that."
Greg raised a hand and placed it against Mycroft's cheek, stroking it with his thumb and Mycroft leaned again into Greg's hand.
Greg asked softly, "Mycroft... may I kiss you? "
Mycroft nodded gently and Greg slowly moved closer. He pressed his lips to Mycroft's. He heard the other man moan into the kiss and Mycroft put his arms around Greg's neck, pulling him even closer. The kiss intensified and Greg lay back, pulling Mycroft with him.
When they broke apart to catch their breath, Mycroft rolled onto his side.
He buried his face in Greg's neck as he slipped his arm around his shoulders.
Mycroft whispered softly, "Thank you for giving me what I need."
Greg kissed the top of his head, "Love, I can only do this because you let me. I love it, taking care of you. You've lived too long without someone doing it for you."
Mycroft hummed into his neck in response, pressing a light kiss to his throat. Greg traced meaningless curves over Mycroft's shoulder and gradually he felt his lover's head grow heavy on his shoulder and his breathing become deep and even.
Once he was sure that Mycroft was asleep and that he would not wake him, Greg pressed a light kiss on his head.
He tightened his arm around his shoulders, reveling in the feel of the warm body against him, trusting and surrendering. Aware of how precious it was, he also let himself drift to sleep.
