Chapter Text
Nina woke with a soft groan to the sound of her alarm; as she gently rolled out of Tiffany's arms, careful not to wake her. She found a text message from Maggie that they had a new case after she hit 'snooze' on her phone. From the other side of the bed, Tiff let out a soft hum.
"Morning, babe," she said, reaching to put her phone back on the nightstand.
"Work?" she asked, rolling over to snooze her own alarm that had just started buzzing.
"Duty calls," Nina replied, shooting a smirk in the other woman's direction.
Tiff smiled back, rolling over to pull her girlfriend back into her side, "Five more minutes," she half-mumbled into Nina's hair.
"Five minutes. Then you gotta let me up, or we won't have time for breakfast." She looked up to meet Tiff's chocolate brown eyes, "And, I might need to borrow your shower if that's okay, my hair's kind of a mess."
"Honey, you know don't have to ask, right? There should be a bottle of your shampoo in there from the last time you stayed over."

When Nina gets out of the shower, she fails to realize the shirt she had grabbed (while still half-asleep) wasn't hers. She had enough turtlenecks that looked like Tiff's; plus, they'd been together for months, and wearing each other's shirts was nothing new.
As she made her way to the kitchen in Tiff's blue button-up, the smell of freshly brewed coffee grew stronger.
"Mmm. Smells good." Nina hummed, wrapping her arms around her girlfriend's waist.
"Tastes good, too," Tiff replied, taking another sip from her mug.
"Oh yeah? Let me try; come here." She noticed the glint in Nina's eye when she spun her around to connect their lips in a kiss. Nina tasted every rich flavor of the coffee on Tiffany's lips, even the sugar she'd added. Hands still holding her face, she smirked again, "You were right, it does taste good."
Tiff's hands lingered in Nina's blonde curls as she blushed, leaning in for another kiss. She didn't even drink any coffee yet, but she still tasted just as good.
It took until they sat down for breakfast for Tiff to notice. But it wasn't until afterward that she'd finally asked, somewhat surprised the other woman hadn't noticed yet, "Is that my shirt?"
Nina's cheeks flushed bright pink almost instantly. Wearing each other's clothes was nothing new, but she'd never mistaken one of her partner's work shirts for her own. "Oh my god, I didn't even notice. I must've been half asleep when I grabbed it."
Tiff just laughed, after all, she did find it especially cute seeing Nina so flustered. Before she could even finish standing up to go change, Tiff's hand was grabbing hers, "Keep it, it suits you. Besides," she said, throwing a quick glance at her watch before smiling back at Nina, "we should probably get going. Unless you want to be the one to explain that the reason we were late was that we were too preoccupied with breakfast."
