Author's Note: Dr. Alden Bertanelli is a hybrid character that has the personality and demeanor of Dr. Stephen Arden from Species and Dr. Otto Octavius. He is a History Professor who specializes in European and Africana Studies at a prestigious university in Pennsylvania. Alden's appearance is similar to Arden and he is in his early forties. Alice Rodgers works as an assistant librarian at the University Library and is in her mid-twenties.
