STARFLEET PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT
SESSION TRANSCRIPT - EXCERPTS - CLASSIFIED
PATIENT ID: [REDACTED ]
COUNSELOR: Dr. Aris Thorne (Rape Recovery Specialist)
DATE OF INITIAL SESSION: [Redacted] 2361 (Approx. 6 days post-incident)
-SESSION ONE-
DR. THORNE: Do you know why you are here, Mr. [Patient ID Redacted]?
PATIENT: Yes. It's standard procedure after the medical report is filed to Starfleet Command. It's... mandated.
DR. THORNE: You don't have to do anything you're not comfortable with, [Patient ID Redacted]. May I call you [Patient ID Redacted]?
PATIENT: [nods] Yes, yes.
DR. THORNE: Would you like to talk about your experience, [Patient ID Redacted]?
PATIENT: [hesitates, gaze flickers to the floor] Actually, I'd rather not right now...I don't want to remember...
DR. THORNE: Perfectly understandable, [Patient ID Redacted]. The mind often tries to protect itself from overwhelming trauma.
PATIENT: [hugs himself and stares down at the floor, a subtle tremble in his hands.]
DR. THORNE: It may feel like the end of the world now, but it'll get better. Healing is a process, and we're here to support you.
PATIENT: I know. [gloomy sigh] I know.
