Asher sat in their room alone, they was used to it by now. Dahlia had a boyfriend who she was always with, but Asher her nobody. It had been like that since Las Vistas ended in peace. They used to hang out with Kipo, they used to be best friends when they lived in the Clover Burrow, and now everything had changed. Kipo had new friends who she always hung out with, and Ahder couldn't feel more betrayed.
They were supposed to be together forever, but Kipo had decided to dump them for some random surface-kids who she had only known for a few months. She had known Asher for years but had now throw their friendship away just like that.
Asher didn't want to be mad at Kipo for getting new friends, but they was. They had been so worried about Kipo when she had happened to get to the surface, only to later find out that she'd gotten new friends. Best friends. Asher didn't really understand what Kipo saw in Wolf. She was some random 10 year old girl who had been raised by wolves and then killed them, how could Kipo want to hang out with someone like that?
Asher sighed as they closed their math book, they didn't feel like studying for some stupid test anyway. They needed to have a talk with Kipo. Maybe their friendship could be fixed?
Asher smiled to themselves, they would at least try. They still didn't want to admit that they had a big crush on Kipo, they were just friends. Nothing else, right?
Asher walked out of their room and put on a jacket before leaving the house, quickly telling their parents that they were going out for a while. Asher was searching everywhere after Kipo, but didn't find the purple girl for a very long time. They found her by a clothing shop with Wolf who had gotten a new style. Her old clothes had started getting too small for her, she had needed to drag up her pants halfway to her knees to make them fit.
Kipo had styled Wolf's hair with colorful hairclips just as she had used to do with Asher's hair when it was longer. Kipo and Wolf was laughing at something, they didn't even seem to notice that Asher was standing there. Asher had had enough.
"Kipo!" Asher said and Kipo turned around and ran up to Asher to hug her, they hadn't seen each other for so long!
"Hey, Ash! I haven't seen you for so long! How are you?" Kipo asked, making Asher blush because of the nickname.
Only Kipo and Dahlia was allowed to call them that, and now when they had a crush on Kipo, it just felt even better. Asher tried to hide the blush bit Kipo noticed and put a comforting hand on their shoulders. Asher took a deep breath and looked deep into Kipo's pink eyes.
"C-can we t-talk?" Asher stuttered, they didn't even know if they were ready for a talk, but it was now or never.
Kipo nodded and Asher led the girl away from Wolf who patiently waited by the store for Kipo to come back. Asher took another deep breath, they needed a moment to prepare themselves for this talk. They would finally confess their love for Kipo.
"What did you want to tell me?" Kipo asked with a smile, Asher looked away and down to the ground.
"Ummm... I-.... I feel a little left out..." Asher said, they needed to take this slow for Kipo to understand, they didn't want to destroy their friendship.
"What do you mean, Ash?" Kipo asked, she didn't understand what Asher meant by feeling left out, hadn't Asher just been busy with their own stuff just like Kipo herself?
"I-... From the day you came back to the Clover, you have stopped hanging out with me and Dahlia, you have been obsessed with hanging out with your new best friends who seem to be better than me..." Asher said, letting out a sniffle as tears formed in their eyes.
"What? I would never think like that, Ash! You're my bestest friend from the Clover and Wolf is my bestest friend from the surface. I love both of you equally!" Kipo promised, feeling bad for hurting Asher that much.
"It's not only that, I need to tell you something..." Asher said, letting out another sniffled as they wiped their teary eyes.
They were glad for Kipo confirming that their friendship wasn't over, but Asher wasn't done yet. What they were going to tell Kipo could sadly be the end of their friendship or be the start of a fantastic relationship. They hoped for the last one. Kipo was waiting patiently for Asher to continue, she wasn't really expecting such news. But Asher eventually said it.
"I have a crush on you!"
Kipo just looked at Asher, her ex friend. She was so startled by the news and just gaped, but then the biggest smile spread across her face.
"I love you too, Ashy, I have done for a while!" Kipo walked closer to her now girlfriend and wrapped her arms around the blushing girl (or if they want to go by another gender, please tell me), and then they kissed. It was their first kiss ever, and it was perfect.
They just looked into each others' eyes for a few minutes, forgetting about the rest of the world. That was until Wolf came up to them and interrupted them. She had heard and seen everything, and she understood what that meant too.
"Did y'all finally get together!? Yeez, I was soon going to plan something with Benson cause neither of you wanted to confess." Wolf smirked, crossing her arms as she watched the two girls.
They both just looked at Wolf, Kipo hadn't expected Wolf to know anything about love, she was only eleven after all.
"You knew!?" Kipo asked, mouth wide open as she looked between Asher and Wolf.
"Yes. It's quite obvious. Asher won't stop staring at you and they always has that dreamy look when they look at you. And you Kipo, you write Asher's name together with a lot of hearts in your diary." Wolf said and started laughing.
"YOU READ MY DIARY?" Kipo said loudly, making Wolf laugh even harder.
"That's not important. Just go on a damn date now and don't get home before the sun goes down. Bye!" Wolf said, literally pushing the two away.
Kipo and Asher was blushing like crazy, who else knew? How could Wolf know but not either of them? The two decided to think about that later and decided to take Wolf's advice and go on a date. Kipo heard Wolf snickering 'lovebirds' before she disappeared to go home with the clothes.
The night went fine, the two went to a restaurant and ate together before going to the Las Vistas park to just relax together and watch the sun go down. And that was only one of many wonderful days together as a pair.
