One day in the Super Rock Villa Cale stands on the balcony, it was a quiet evening as his companions f̶a̶m̶i̶l̶y̶ were out today.
Rosalyn, Eruhaben-nim, and Raon were out to get ingredients for their experiments,
Hong and On are with the blue wolf tribe children and Lock, training in the forest of darkness
Even when Cale told them they didn’t have to as the wars had ended and they should play instead but they had insisted it was to keep their skills in check.
The Molan duo were out to the Eastern continent a couple of weeks ago, which he was thankful for so he didn’t get to see that benign smile and a cup of ̶d̶e̶m̶o̶n̶ lemon tea, though to say he didn’t miss their company and Beacrox’s cooking is a lie.
And as for the rest of his companions f̶a̶m̶i̶l̶y̶ they were out and about doing their things.
So it was a very quiet day for Cale.. Or so he thought...
Lately, he’s been plagued by his records and nightmares, they were not good memories.
Sometimes when nobles talk behind his back while he records important moments they get mixed up with those moments, from the time when he was attending a banquet as he was invited by his hyung-nim, the shining new emperor of the Roan empire that used to be a kingdom.
‘ Look at him, wasn't he trash before? I bet he’s doing it for attention.’ ‘He’s so skinny and bony, did he really lead that army?’ ‘What a pitiful man.’ ‘How arrogant can he get? Acting like he didn’t deserve all those medals is such an act.’
Or the times after Soo Hyuk and Jung Soo’s death...
‘ How can he sleep knowing he killed them?’ ‘Wow he didn’t even cry..’ ‘Is he even human?’
‘Does he even have a heart?’ ‘So annoying what a let down of a leader.’
‘He left for 3 days without saying a thing?? He’ll never be as good as the previous team leader.’ ‘They saved him but he didn’t even cry at their funeral .’
And sometimes before everything when his parents had died...
‘ Look at him, what a weird kid.’ ‘He’s like a robot with no emotions! Not caring that his parents died.’ ‘No one will adopt that kid, and he even got abandoned by his relatives.’ ‘Poor kid..’
And times he can’t even look at a mirror before he met up with the original Cale Henituse err... Kim Rok Soo...
‘ Is this even ok?’ ‘I'm pretty sure this is identity theft..’ ‘It’s not like they can know..’
‘Am I stealing his family?’ ‘ *Crash* It’s fine... I didn’t steal his family, his life ..’
‘DID I KILL HIM??’ ‘WHERE EVEN IS HE NOW??’ ‘ WHO AM I??’
At Least he was fine now... But he can’t help but still be affected by these memories, by these records...
Busy with his thoughts he didn’t notice the people behind him who had a happy mood,
They had hurried to do everything accordingly to have a peaceful moment and spend some time with their lovely red-haired young master.
They noticed how their young master had been looking kind of tense and tired all the time, so they took the time to get him gifts to maybe help calm down whatever was distressing their young master.
“Goldie Gramps, look it's the human!” Raon rushed to go to the spot where Cale is,
“Wait nya! Youngest you shouldn’t hurry Cale might get spooked!” Hong said to Raon
“Aigoo this unlucky bastard as much as I hate to admit might get scared if you go in unannounced.” Eruhaben-nim warned the young black dragon, “Ah! You’re right, the human is weak after all!-”
Then they heard humming coming from the balcony; “Huh? Is that Cale-nim?” Choi Han peeked at the balcony with the others “It seems so..” Said Rosalyn as she took out her communicator to share the rare moment with other allies.
I was pulling out my hair
The day I got the deal, chemically calm
Was I meant to feel happy that my life
Was just about to change?
“The human has a beautiful voice!” Raon said, admiring Cale’s voice but doesn’t seem to notice the lyrics, “Indeed the young master seems to be singing something like a change?” Mary said in her emotionless GPS-like voice.
“Maybe how he changed from trash to hero?” the queen Litana had said through the magic-communication device, “But Cale said pulling out his hair nya!” Hong pointed out,
“No! The human must not hurt himself, I should go there-” “Wait nya, we should let Cale finish singing, it is a rare moment after all we won’t know when he’ll sing again.” On stopped Raon from disturbing the redhead's singing.
“Mm, that’s right we should wait.”
One life pretending to be the cat who got the cream

Ron raised an eyebrow this young master was always told to be a dreamer before the late mistress had died. He frowned at how his young master changed from a kind Child to trash and from trash to hero.

Everyone was worried. What did he mean by ‘ I never am happy? ’ it saddened them just by thinking about it, what made their young master unhappy?
“Is this what has been bothering Cale-nim?” Choi Han said he didn’t want Cale unhappy after all the guy had saved him from spiraling into despair even more as he had helped him to meet his new family which of course includes a certain red-head.
Are you satisfied with an average life?
Do I need to lie to make my way in life?
Hannah was conflicted, lie? It was true he showed her his true self and what he really was like she gave him respect and trusts him even though he told her not to, she isn’t gonna lie about Cale’s acting. It could even fool her, but as she thinks back it almost seemed like he did lie his way with people...
‘Cale Henituse..’ Alberu thinks is very similar to him, from when they first met to the way they both do things he thinks Cale is one cheeky dongsaeng as he had stolen money from a lot of people and even him, the emperor was scammed by this man although... He can’t help but want to give him everything he wanted even if it meant his downfall, ‘ Aigoo... He’s driving me nuts.’
“The human is good at acting and scamming but... You don’t need to lie your way into life!” Raon said, Raon remembers back to when his human had saved him after being tortured and put into pain up until the age of 4 for the first time when he met his human, he showed him a starry sky, and he thinks his human is a pretty good liar he told him to live as he wants and will not take care of him,
But in the end, look at where they are. Cale treated them all so well so why was he not happy too..? Like they are when he is with them...
They just want Cale to live in peace with them...

Cale would often think about how nothing comes for free, how when he had the team leader and Jung Soo but in the end, they died just so he can live... He thinks life is unfair but the more he thinks, the more he realizes it was just the price he should pay... After all, no matter what he’d only be at death’s door, near the verge of death, or even come face to face with death...

He remembers... Of course, he does... He stopped because it was painful. He didn't want people to think he was useless, or how he wasn’t worth the loss of 2 people, he knows he isn’t but he won’t waste their sacrifice...
Is that why? The redhead's companions thought of how he used to be known as a trash alcoholic who threw bottles at people ̶w̶h̶i̶c̶h̶ ̶w̶a̶s̶n̶’̶t̶ ̶t̶r̶u̶e̶ they wanted to comfort him, to hug him, to help him, they don’t know if he’ll let them but... It’s a start... Baby steps...
‘Baking a couple of pastries wouldn’t be as bad.’ Beacrox thinks, he knows how their young master likes sweets maybe it could replace those awful habits of his young master, of course
Too many sweets are not good so he’ll have his father make that ̶d̶e̶m̶o̶n̶ lemon tea his young master likes.

And there it was, they ran off to his side, they comforted him, told him how much they loved him, they were scared but they’ll heal together after all this was the man that saved them all...
BONUS:
“My friend! I’ll be your friend!” Toonka yells as he hugs his fragile friend, “Toonka please calm down..” Harol sighs.
“Young master here! Have some calming stones from the ocean, my noona and I picked them.” Paseton smiles as he gives the redhead his gifts.
“HUMAN! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DIE HERE HAVE SOME APPLE PIE!” The six-year-old dragon said as he gave Cale a soggy apple pie, “Oh my it seems that the young master had been covered in gifts.” Ron chuckled with his benign smile, ‘This is too much..’ Cale thinks he can barely see from the pile of gifts in front of him; they were all sent by his allies from all over the continents.. ‘Well it's not so bad.’ Cale thinks maybe he’ll be happy and wouldn’t have to pay that price to get love and comfort. To be satisfied.
