“We should make out,” Black said, his eyes half shut.
Gram felt like his brain was going haywire.
“What?” Gram's mouth almost dropped open.
“We should kiss. It would stop us from thinking.”
“Well, obviously we wouldn’t be thinking,” Gram squawked.
Black scoffed. “Coward.”
“I’m not a coward.”
“Yes, you are. What are you scared of?” Black narrowed his eyes and smiled greasily before leaning in. “Are you gonna fall in love with me, Ai’Gram?”

After making out with his friend, Gram realizes he has feelings for him. But Black seems to be having a developing relationship with Eugene. Gram decides to give his friend two figurines for his birthday as a goodbye to his feelings. But Black appears to have different ideas than a goodbye.
