   Summary

What was a bad dream, really? Fear, paranoia… wayward thoughts, or the subconscious mind playing tricks on her? It could be anything, she supposed. Strangely though, Ruby often felt an almost annoyed ambivalence to the concept… as though no explanation adequately describe the way her nightmares could remind her of what true horror could actually be…

A/N: The story CAN stand alone and DOES NOT require the full series to enjoy.
