"Got you!" Jinx's eyes shone with wild rage. Caitlyn pulled out her pistol but Jinx was just too fast.
"Powder, stop!" Vi stepped in front of her lover but Jinx had already pulled the trigger. A dozen bullets hit perfectly missing their target. Vi collapsed immediately, blood flooding the white cobble stones of that neat Piltover street.
People cried and ran in panic, while Jinx and Caitlyn stood frozen. Both stared at the body of the woman they most loved.
When Caitlyn looked up again she found her terrified disbelieve mirrored in Jinx's expression. Their eyes met and slowly Jinx lowered her weapon until she finally dropped it.
Caitlyn still pointed her gun at Jinx's heart. She was not able to think right now. All that was on her mind were Vi's scream and the sound of that deathly volley.
As Jinx rose her hands, her expression changed to pain and despair. Midway she stopped and stretched her arms out to the sides, her look almost begging. Caitlyn breathed out shaking, then shut her eyes. Her heart felt empty. A shot rang out to end one misery while a new one began.
