Chapter Text
Harry was heading to potion class with Ron and Hermione. Ron and Hermione were telling Harry that they needed to listen to them more. Since his training and Beta lessons were slacking. But all Harry could think about was his stuff animals that he had hidden from them and how he wanted to play with them. He did not understand why he needed lessons to be a Beta. He thought he was doing a good enough job as it was. But Ron, Hermione, and Dumbledore thought he could do better and be more natural with it.
The next thing Harry knows was he was being slapped in the face by Ron's backhand. Harry looked up to see Hermione pissed off and Ron about to hit him again. "You need to listen to us brat! You can't be daydreaming like a little kid anymore. You need to focus so we can get-. So you, can be the best Beta," Ron said pushing Harry into the classroom so no one would know that he hit Harry.
Draco was packing up his teaching notebook for his third-year potion class that just ended when he saw Harry falling in the doorway. He saw that Harry cheek was red mark that look like a handprint. Also, he noticed Harry fall and land on his hands and knees. Draco saw Harry slowly getting up and rubbing his wrists as his eyes start to water. He thought that was weird. Normal Beta would not tear up over something like falling. That was a sub or little trait right there. Draco watched Harry as Ron and Hermione drag Harry to his seat and start talking in hushed voices. He felt his caretaker senses start to go off. Something was wrong here with Harry. He had a feeling Harry was not really a Beta and he was classified as something else.
Then Snape came in with his cloak blowing behind him. Draco smiled and picked up his pack bag. "Hey, Sev. I want you to watch Harry a little closer today in class. He got pushed in by Ron and he seems to hurt because he was tearing up and the other two were talking harshly to him," Draco whispered softly as Severus walked to the desk that Draco finished packing up his teaching bag.
"Oh, why? Also how was your third-year class? I hope it was not as bad as the other class," Severus asked unpacking his bag.
"They were good. I had the Ravenclaw Byrne boy blow up his cauldron because he put the wrong amount of dragon liver into the Doxycide. Then other Ravenclaw and Hufflepuffs students mess up their potions from what happen. But I fix the problem by talking to the class about how important it is to make sure we all measure out the right amount of everything and when we get spoken try not to pour everything in our hands in the cauldron," Draco said quietly as he moved to leave.
"I will watch Harry. In the last month, he has been acting unusual than usual. It seems that he is in a younger mindset like a little, but I was there when he got classified at the end of the first year," Severus said quietly.
Draco nodded his head and walked out of the room to go to his study plaining period for his first and second years classes. Severus then looked at his second fifth-year class which was his Slytherin and Gryffindor. He saw Harry sitting next to Draco's younger brother Loe. Harry was looking around the room scared and confused. Severus know that little was not allowed to be in positions in class as it was too dangerous for when they slipped into headspace. If it was true that Harry was a little, then Albus has been lying to them since the first years got tested. He was going to have to keep a closer eye on Leo and Harry today, he thought as he looked at the class.
"Today we were going to brew Befuddlement Draught potion since we have gone over why they are needed and why it was made in the first place. You will pair up like normal with your table mates. I will also be walking around the class to watch how you are doing and preforming. So, get started already," Severus said looking at everyone with his normal scowl.
Harry was brought of his thoughts when Leo flicked his head to get his action like he normal does when Ron and Hermione where in class with us. "Potter, I just want you to cut everything up for me. Make sure they look perfect. I don't want messy cuts," Leo said with his fake dirty look. Then he got up to get everything they needed for the potion.
Severus saw Harry start to get into a little headspace as he walked around. He also noticed that he did not understand what Leo was talking to him before he got up to go to the storage room. Severus thought about walking over to him then by he decision that would be weird and the other two Golden Trio would get suspicious. But when Harry was holding the knife with very shaky hands. Severus started to walk over to Harry when Leo griped the knife and put it down kind of hard. "Leo, I need to talk to Harry outside. Please go next door to your Professor Malfoy study classroom. Tell him he needs to watch the class because I am talking to a student privately," Severus said taking Harry out in the hallway with him. "Potter, what is going on now?" he said harshly as he left the classroom
"I did nothing bad," Harry said in a younger voice and putting his hands on his hips. Severus looked at Harry shocked. Harry was acting like a little. He could not unsee that. That voice and how he put his hands on his hips was something a toddler would do. He was about to ask Harry how old he was to see if his theory was right. When Draco was coming down the hallway confused.
"Severus, why did you get Leo to come to get me and why is Harry out here?" Draco asked with Leo behind him with the same look.
"Leo, get inside the classroom and work with the table ahead of you," Severus said. Once Leo nodded his head and went into the potion classroom. He then looked at Draco. "I think Harry just slipped into a younger age space. He is not a Beta as we thought. It's not safe for him to be in potions. Do you have anyone in your study classroom? Can you watch Harry?"
Draco looked at Harry and then back at Severus. "I have no one as of yet. But I can cancel the study time and just bring Harry in our room," Draco said softly as he held his hand out for Harry to take.
Severus watched Harry slowly take Draco hand and then slowly follow him. He looked back at Severus confused and worried. Severus did not blame Potter. He knew how controlling the headmaster was. When he wanted something, he would get it no matter what. Sometimes they were for good, but Severus had seen too many times to be for his own good. Severus slowly went back to the classroom and watch his fifth years. Two hours later Severus watched his last students leave the room. He had told Ron and Hermione that Harry had to go to the medical wing because he badly cut himself with the knife. He had let Ma'am Pomfrey what was going on and to not let Ron or Hemione see Harry.
Servers slowly started to pack his things up and started to head to his and Draco room in the dungeons. "Dray, how is Harry?" Severus asked walking into their living room.
"He is good, once we came into our chamber he started to relax more. He just got in my lab about 30 minutes ago." Draco said softly from the chair he normal sat in to read his books or look over his essays. Also, right when your class normal ended he started to change. I did not know he was taking a glamor potion,"
And Harry had changed a lot from Severus could tell. Potter was skinner then normal. His school uniform was way too big on him now. He also seems to have gotten shorter too. Most little are short natural and Potter was not known for his height. So, Potter being the size of a six- and eight-year-old child was not normal whatsoever. He also had burse on him that was not covered by his uniform with very of healing stages. Severus was not wondering how much worse it under his clothes was. Also why was Harry suppressing his little side and did Harry even know that was happening. He could not believe this was happening to any student at Hogwarts and least of all Harry Potter. He believed Albus when he said that Harry was a Beta. He should have known better than that. Severus went to Draco and looked at Harry better. He vowed that he would protect Harry with everything and make sure that Harry lived a good life.
